For the hero selection, we would do each player choses a hero, and them we threw the coin to see who is first, the first player will play in radiant, and the radiant player hero will be used in 1v1, them players change sides, and heroes, the last hero can be decided by both players or will be a random from the top 15 heroes with the most presence mid lane acording to DB, just so we got a element of rng in it.

Actually, it's pretty likely that a ~3.7k mid spammer is likely to defeat a non mid player 1v1, in fact it's happened already (on dotabuff 1v1s, no less), I am so bad at mid that a mid 2k guy who spams it would dumpster me most likely.
I bet I am a better Phoenix than any 0-4k, despite playing the hero only once in original Dota when he was released together with Tuskar. And it was a 1v1 versus Tusk lul

or standard 1v1 middle hero like sf vs sf, puck vs puck, lina vs lina etc?
@redemption you can see the treads, someone will live stream it. i think it must be the same hero. im afraid that if they dont use the same hero ppl will spam bane or sk in 1 vs 1 match

for example
player a: puck,ember
player b: invoker,juggernaut
round 1 toss coin, if A wins he picks the hero you mirror. so both play puck for example.
round 2 loser picks, lets say A won, so B picks invoker.
lets say B won, now it's a tie, tie breaker is shadow fiend.
if both A and B pick the same hero for example
a: puck, invoker
b: ember, invoker
then round 1 is invoker
round 2 is loser's other hero (ember if B, or Puck if A)
if both heroes are the same
a: ember, invoker
b: ember, invoker
then match is just ember, invoker, SF
