I 'd really like to learn how to play meepo, but I'm soo fucking garbage with micros. What should I learn first?

i am not that good but key binds 1 for main 2 for 2ns and 3rd meepo 3 for 4th and 5th meepo 4 for all other units 5 for all controlled units space for blink i farm everything by level 10 u have 4 meeps with aghs 2 meeps can clear almost every jungle camp fast you end up as a fucking beast 20 min into the game u try to end the game pass 35 min u fall off so easily when you fight and one meepo lose alot of hp u have 2 options
        1) the bar on the left of screen u can select with your mouse and let that meepo back
        2) based on key binds and the bar on the left P.S if your 3rd meepo lose alot of hp press 2 then tap and let that meepo back
also just dont pick meepo if they have sven or ww
lich and es are annoying but not as hard as sven or ww
as i said i am ns trash not winning every game
mostly when i lose as meepo cuz my fucking team flames me for not "ganking" or stuff like gg report meepo fucking dragon lance had this weaver feeds offlane then blames me for not "gang" but somthing i know for sure that i will gang bang his mother and everyone asks me for a fucking gank pre aghs

Guy above is retarded, don't listen to him. First, you need to know how to poof correctly. I would highly recommend binding w (poof) to f. So you can easily transition from tab to f for mass poof. Bind 1 for main meepo. 2 for meepos 1 and 2 for good farming. Don't bind any meepos when you only have two. Just use tab. Bind 5 for meepos 3 and 4. Bind 4 for every other meepo. Bind 3 for every meepo. Don't buy vlads. Don't buy ring of aquilla. Dragon Lance is controversial. Bottle is very controversial. I would go bottle only if I am in a hard mid. I usually always buy a iron talon.

          Cobrex :c

Just practice! For a beginner, try to bind one button for main meepo, one button for the others, and one for all of them. Once you get 4 points in poof, you can clear a wave with only 2 meepos (you poof both of them in the middle of the wave). If you cant handle boots of travel yet, farm treads if u have to fight, or just normal boots + aghanim. After max 8-10mins, you should clear all camps everytime including the lane you are close to. After aghs, go blink or dragon lance. Then scythe if you"re ahead and need lockdown, or skadi if you die too fast. After all this, learn to stack a camp with one meepo while the other one farms the lane; learn to micro the dying meepo away when you fight, learn the blink initiation, have one button for main, 2-3 meepos, 4-5 meepos, and shift queue the groups to different camps while you play with ur main when u wanna gank or just be near the team if a fight breaks down. As I said, practice and you'll understand so miuch more. Hf!

Go on youtube type in meepo for beginner he will show u easiest keys to bind and teach u poof dagger combo u wont understand by words unless u see it :)

              Oldman

                I use

                1 - main hero
                2 - all other units
                3 - all units
                4 - courier

And thats it. I select them manually if i want to farm separately. U dont really need to have insane micro on this hero to play it well. Item timing, blink poof combo, time window is the most crucial imo.

If u want to have more time to get right meepo back during tfs - get more tanky. Like spam skadis or dragon lances for start.

                Klonu

Micro users should get banned. Meepo, invoker, tinker and arc heroes are hard to play and only people learning hero should be able to play them well - letting people using macros is unfair to others. Its same as u give manabars to enemies so AM will see theyr mana leak.
No for micros in every skill bracket.

                  Perte

^micro and macro is not the same thing. Macro deserves a ban, not micro.

How do you bind the meepos, is it a specific control group for each meepo? Or do you have to do it every match?

@Dire Wolf no it saves to your steam account so even if you play with a different computer ur binds will be there.

Ctrl + (control group key) to bind

@Balance no ones gonna take him seriously unless he changes his attitude

you have to do it in a game though like a bot match? It's not something you set through settings?

                                    Bill Cutting

                                      Do what @Lex says.

To bind the hotkeys go to demo hero or a lobby and they will stay that way.

Also, what no one seems to be mentioning is quick cast is the way to go for net and poof.

I am no meepo pro but I found watching how good meepo players farm in the early (which is very important) helped me a lot. Abed, w33, notail, even miracle.

Muscle memory is a great thing, practice a lot.

                                      Rocket

@dire correct - dota remembers which meepo combination was bound to a control group just like it remembers for other illusions etc.

                                        ywn

the micro part is basic and muscle memory just make control groups and play a lot of meepo noone can help you with that really. you should farm a lot and minimize your deaths/risks.

basically this hero is about positioning and picking the right fights/not throwing or taking big risks
you need to pick the right hero to jump and know when to do it you cant just mindlessly jump in every game. This obviously kinda goes for every hero but mistakes are just extremely costly on meepo cause long respawn and huge exp(and prob gold) bounty

                                          niamachaohailongcibai

for me as a 4k i oso really suck at meepo but willing to join in some group control method
