dotabuff is great for analysis, be warned though, the forums is lurked by dank memers, spooky shitposters, delusional Dunning-Kruger-plagued smurf and the occasional egotistical bastar.d. also there are mods who have a straight and steadfast moral compass, who have taken it upon themselves to uphold everything that is good and righteous left in this forum. they forge on everyday, making sure this community is as clean as can be. there are rumors of a rebellion though, where the old f4gs have decided that the mods are unfit to rule, and that new rulers should be made, ones that are fair to the community because they were once part of the lower class themselves
and there is the blog section, inhabited by bots whose only purpose and goal in their programming is to say "first" "second" "third" ... "25th" whenever a new blog is made. they never participate in the forums, standing by like vo.yeurs, content to just be there for what is happening
and ofcourse, the holy grail of our unholy desires: the ayy lmao thread. check that out if you think you dont need your innocence, like totally. everything goes on there, even fucking furries.
basically like a lot of people here are salty ass.holes, and mmr means everything here. mmr dicates your rights, how much you can say, whether you are right or wrong, EVERYTHING is related to mmr. so basically its like the world but in a smaller scale. kind of like a little digital terrarium of the world. in fact it is when i think about it

I calibrated at 900 mmr with only 400 or so hours and then i dropped. So dont feel sorry about urselves when there is a cancer tier mmr like me

Take your time in dota. Everything needs time. You gonna need time finding your preferred hero, build, items, hotkeys, etc.
Mmr is not for everyone, but everyone gonna check your mmr.
And, the most important, have fun.
Just find your fun and have it.
Whether getting 6k in ranked or building daedalus on WD, if you find it fun, just do it.
