Want to learn Skywrath Mage in General Discussion

Played him recently and he's fun just looking for tips, builds and is he better for core or support?

(Oh and on my profile i was in lp cuz my friend started a game but he doesn't know you cant leave in the middle of a game ;-;)

    EBELEX.COM

Only as support against timber and morph

      Beks

        suport
pick vs od void sk legion
        max silence first always

        Dire Wolf

Support, mid sky falls off too much. You won't have enough mana to spam arcane bolt so maxing silence is fine, value point in concussion. Atos is pretty core, then force staff or euls. Probably won't have farm for much else.

Yes, pick vs od void sk lc if you want to feed them

            M U R D E R

U will probably want to buy veil. Coz he has like 1 armor, extra squishy.

              Beks

no sky never feed with bots and wind lance and his magics are long cast range unless u are 2k and position urself with 200 range from them
also dont go sky if ur slow handed and slow brain
                which means ur proly 2k

                Shou

I only go sky mid i rlly need to shut down the enemy mid. Like storm.

                  casual gamer

hes a roaming support who dominates the mid and safelane and transitions into ganking with a stun combo at level 6

if you see you have void lc or axe, skywrath can be a great pick to win the early game and seize map control by instantly killing any lone hero. in fights wait to see someone get stunned and immediately drop ult on them, or save it for bursting a vulnerable hero like storm spirit in your silence.

typically people go max Q, but maxing the silence first can be good against storm, void, and other high mobility heroes who are vulnerable to silence in the early game.

typical item progression for me is something like 2 clarity + support items -> raindrop -> boots + stick -> arcanes into aether lens.

the hero has to go back to base a shitton, I don't think there's any way to prevent it

if you have void axe or lc on ur team when you hit 6 and they have blink (or chrono in voids case) smoke them and ping the enemy midlane or jungle. you can just smoke gank over and over and kill people especially in low skill games. a good SWM can win games in that 0-20 minute phase where his high ms and insane burst lets him own people

if the game goes to 25 minutes and on you have to play cautiously due to having 0 armor and low hp. ghost + force is usually pretty good, some people get tranqs for armor

                      FallFromGrace

tranquils with OD in your team, right?
