Checked 5 games , highest was 3725 mmr so I am the highest but that guy has played 5k matches so I have played less than half as many games as him .
there was some 5.2k in my old account but it was before those changes to smurfing
Checked my old account. Almost every player stopped playing after 50 games, and the rest turned out to be shitstains except one guy who got to 4.5k
checked every game on my last page of matches
no one got to 4k, highest was 3.7k with 3900 matches

LMAO never forget I died to a tower before the game even starts
7 retired, or had their accounts not exposed
2 of them are 3.2k+ with ultra high number of matches

this is the highest skill player of those first 5 games ...pretty sad stuff
Most quit, 4 or 5 were 3k, and one guys is 4k and still playing. Mind you I started playing in 2012 and have quit the game like 5 times
1st game, 1 dude with 4,5k
2nd game, 1 guy with 4,7k and 1 guy with 5,4k
3rd game, 1 guy with 5k
--no recorded match here but just shit anyways--
4th game, 1 guy with 5,3k
5th game, just shitty guys
was against the 5,4k and the 5,3k players; won all games btw
Granted I have only been playing for about a year. Highest is 3175. The ones not showing rank were all normal skill so I doubt any higher.
4.4k and 4.7k was the highest in first 5 games to lazy to check more and the rest 60% if not more had less than 100 games, I guess they just quit dota, cuz u would need invite to be able to play back then and it wasn't easy to get, so I'm sure they didn't quit their acc's to smurf.
One got VHS but in unranked games, others are 2k-3k normal skills. More than half of them stopped playing.
Nice thread, I have never thought about this. But it looks like most of mine ended up with people who stopped playing in 2014, gave up after a few months of playing, and/or have between 44% - 49% win rates.
A lot of anon so far. But I was a legit, fresh, total newb, so I imagine I got paired with 1k - 2k smurfers, which would explain why it took me so long to learn how to play properly.

Apparently, it seems everyone is still in NS/has MMR bellow 2k, I'm 3.2k atm.
Started playing december 2012.
80% quit dota.
20% 1 or 2k players except one guy who have 3500 mmr.
Well my first 3 games can't be counted my first three games because:
1.I couldn't play my first match to the end, had to give it away to my 5 y/o brother.
2.My second match wasn't recorded.
3.Me not knowing what ping was at the time (I don't even think you could check ping in source one, I dunno), I suffered high lag. Me not knowing that abandoning had consequences, I abandoned that match.
Then, I played a full month's worth of not games. Liked riki, spammed him.
And I can't answer your question since I don't know their MMR.

i just checked mine, half of them are 3k mmr, the other half quit after 100 games
only 1 guy from my first 5 games got to 5k, and quit dota as it seems.
so, the questions stands, check your first games and compare the progress you've made compared to those who were in your first 5 matches.
lol, checking my first 20 games: 1 player made it to 5k, rest either gave up or are currently 2-3k
