I've skipped work for playing DOTA. Not proud of it though!
I remember when the Chinese year event was around. Every X minutes huge beasts would go out of each base and push like hell, so everything revolved around TF around your beast. I spammed witch doctor and won a lot of skins. The last day i called in sick and milked the skins.
No couse i highly appreciate my work, but back in the days when i was in school and playing cod2 competive and cs 1.6 i did many times, also any chance to be "sick" was awesome....but now at work i always think about dota, checking dotabuff, and this sick forum as now :D , dating i skip many times also lost my gf couse gaming i guess....so yeah but i never feel much sorry about it, i love playing games i like to spent time like that if no fishing or so😊

I think i skipped work like 5 times already but always used "Sick leave" card and had no repercussions.

I always wonder if any managers or people in charge of certain situations (such as calling-out, trading a shift) plays Dota, and if they ever let someone entirely off the hook for playing Dota.
I have never come across that, but that would be amazing looool
Anyway, to my question, have you ever skipped work, school, or hell, even a date for dota?
When I was single I would skip a few dates and that actually helped to my advantage. (Girls like a guy they do not know that is 'busy'). Skipped work when I had win streaks too. Only done it twice. Well, a third time during a Battle Cup for Ti6.
