i think it depends i have a friend u have many very high skill bracket games but he calibrated at 3.3k mmr i think its only base on your performance or etc... no idea how mmr works...i play in 4.1k average in my 1st game in tbd i got 9 games left

Normal ranges from 0k to 3.2k, so really depends where you are at the start of calibration.

tldr yes, you can calibrate 4k+ from an NS start if you're an actual high mmr player

if you have the skill of an ns scrub, you calibrate in ns.

Since my friend tried to calibrate 4k two times and both times failed, I can tell you that you can't.

He's 3.3-3.5k MMR player so he's even better than regular normal skill player, I can tell you that.

To calibrate at least 4k, you need to be high 3k yourself. My MMR was as low as 3.2k and as high as 4.4k(almost) and I calibrated two times 4.3k/4.5k on my smurfs.

Even tho 4.5k is still out of my league. So if a high 3k/low 4k can't handle above 4k, what's the point in ruining games for regular 4ks?

Simply play in your bracket, for fucks sake. Even 200 mmr above your real rating can prove to be a challange.
