anub'arak is a character in wow too since dota is from warcraft 3 , anub'arak is a boss in a world of warcraft dungeon xd

^ kunkka is actually admiral, his name is kunka
like cm is rylai, and lina (inverse) is Slayer, or pudge is Butcher

When moving it to Dota 2 they went nuts and used whatever they liked. There might be some copyright issues tho because Dota allstars used characters from the Warcraft world so using similar names might be costly, so Invoker got the name Carl instead of Kael.

Personally the best dota 1 name would be Nevermore for SF, or YaphetS in honor of the best SF player in dota 1.

Actually, ursa orginal name is Ulfsaar. I don't know how some dota version names are slightly different. As far as I remember,

Lightning Revenant, Razor become Gillete.
Shadow Fiend, Nevermore become Yaphets.
Ursa Warrior, Ulfsaar become Fuzzy Wuzzy.
Dragon Knight, Knight Davion become Trogdor.

Dota 1 aghanims effect are cool. I hope dota 2 should adapt that.
