Take a look at their first ever match. Some are more than 20 games in NS bracket. Try to search fng's profile and first match in history.
So does that help the existing NS players to get good in anyway? Not like everyone can get good at some time.

Everyone starts at NS and gets more while playing, its just that some are better then others and get to vhs and higher mmr faster.
Smurfs are smurfs, if you are taking mmr are your main goal you will stay shit forever. Your main goal has to be improving your gameplay and find ways to win as much games as possible.

I played dota 1 for years and they are possibly 50% of the current dota 2 community from other moba games who find dota 2 better.
Since the fall of Garena and Dotalicious, dota 1 was only used to be played on RGC and the only reason someone is playing dota 1 now is either he has a really really strong connection to the game or (more likely) a really shitty PC/laptop.
The transition from dota 1 to dota 2 is not a 1 to 1 trade tho, there are a few different game mechanics in the game that you need to adapt to.
It does give them some advantage over other players, but in the end everyone is in the same boat.
My friends encouraged me to start playing. There were a lot of jokes when we we party 5 and i didnt know what dota is. Now im better than all of them. Everyone used to know nothing in this game as dota 2 is not familiar to any other genre of games

This is a topic to encourage 2k and all players in NS to not lose hope. Most of pro players started at normal bracket although theres no MMR yet during 2011 Dota but hidden mmr exists already because some are hovering in ns, hs or vhs. Try to check the match history of support players in dota scene like fng, egm, ppd etc. Smurf will help since MMR will never reset. If youn think you have improved and still stuck at 1k,2k and 3k, why not create a smurf? Its free. Remember MMR wont reset. gl!
