it is a ton of fun, i used to do it with HL2DJ which made it really easy. (but console commands that made HL2DJ function were patched out awhile ago)
but most other programs are a pain in the ass to use unless you have some actual hardware for it.

i looked into it extensively.
you can make it work obviously, but everything I tried was a pain in the ass.
maybe if you tried a paid program, or bought some hardware for it, but everything I tried was more annoying than it's worth.
HL2DJ was ez, but it's bork now so gg.
i've got a razer naga, so hotkeying the numbers i don't use into sounds was my plan. as opposed to external hardware
I'll see if i can get this vb cable and soundboard setup.
