Was same here. I was 4950 and dropped to 4250 after a terrible game where I was reported by 4 people, and got steam reported and i abandoned. Got LP after that what lowered my player behaviour score dramatically.
After that I could not win a game to save my life, got teammates from the deepest parts of the community.
What I can recommend is to dodge games if u connect fast. Often between 4-5k and higher u are matched with acc buyers/people who didnt play dota for a long time and are on huge losing streak or barely win 3/15 games. Its almost impossible to win such games, well maybe for a 7k player it would be. Always check people game records. If your whole team is on losing streak while on the other side u can spot an acc booster with barely any loses, its a sure lose. Its worth w8ting that extra 5 minutes instead of wasting 2 hours to get your 25 points back. Dodging games may lower your payer behaviour score, i dunno but who cares.

and yes smurfs are the main problem in this bracket as its easy for a 3k to smurf near here.

I lost 300 MMR cause of game ruiners. Including offlane Alchemists, 0-12 carries, Furions insta TPing to enemy fountain with courier, wards and smoke, item destroyers, Ruptor running down min from min 0. And few obvius acc buyers.
ill change my ways. Instead of insta mid and muting all chat, ill pick last and have positive mental attitude.

You normally dodge people with low levels. 1~2 dodge is okay and if you dodge for the 3rd time its 24hr que-ban.
Int ranked ruined dota. Subhuman filth buying 5k accounts is at its peak. I really wish terminal illness to account buyers. And death to their crops.
^ True that. Those who do not dodge obvious loses (while u cant always dodge a game) mostly lost mmr due to int ranked. Lowering lvl trophy required for calibration didnt help at all either.
Back in time when it was 50 lvl it was all fine.
Compenium was released in the middle of may. Ofc it may not have any influence on my mmr in theory but ....
I was playing same shit as always and suddenly after 2 weeks of compendium, I could not win almost any game to save my life.
