1) he can be impactful enough without taking that huge amount of gold provided by solo mid lane
2) he has poor laning stage against mid heroes, which are popular in current meta
there used to be 2 types of midlaners
ones which work with exp(pudge) and ones that work with farm. but the exp ones don't exist anymore.
It's simple - Pudge's hook got buffed to have so much more ranged from level 1, so now, pudge can do his role, without taking one of the most impactful and influencing roles in the match, for xp. He was placed mid so that his hook would get longer faster and it would become relevant, now, almost at level 2 it's enough to gank mid and cause chaos
Because pudge has 0 armor so he get's bullied out of lane really easily basically giving the enemy a free lane
It's cus pub meta wants a farming hero there who can take a game late, not a space creator only. It's why puck and qop are not great mid picks right now too.
They cant take the Game late lmao. Purge isnt good because he has terrible laningg phase. Puck is really good right now. Qop is still good but its so easy to throw pros dont pick her.
I still see some mid Pudge with reason gaining level fast to roaming fast.
I play Pudge since feeder to mvp, I've never mid because I don't want carry haha.
It's a waste after his hook got buffed, and roaming heroes are better as supports/semi-supports. He also loses mid to almost every mid hero, and doesn't even need much gold, he's there for levels more than any other mid-hero. Having him roaming makes more of a surprise factor for ganking as well, while if he's missing in the midlane you know he's trying to hook you from somewhere.
What are u talking about bro? In 1k every game has a pudge mid. If u pick a hero who is better mid than pudge u get reported because pudge is mid.

Why did everyone stop playing Pudge mid? Like he used to be pretty decent and had great ganking potential really early on.
