what exactly are you scripting techies for
perfectly stacked land mines?
instantly suicide before silence/stuns instagib you?
Instant hex/euls when someone blinks on you, blowing up the perfect amount of remote mines to kill, blowing up the remote mines when they can kill without you doing anything, forcestaffs anyone facing your mines automatically... You know just a small advantage...
no he isnt, to weak on the offlane, to weak to be a mid, to static to be a good sup, needs lvls to do something.
Until they buff the normal mine dmg he wont be playable.
didnt some metaforgers play techies on mid with pretty good results when he came out
@Hook And Roll, you know, you can play a dual offlane with techies farming, and something harassing / put people in his mine. you get rid of his low damage issue for the laning stage this way.
Or simply when you have something like a puck, that scale extremly bad, he just has to leave space for techies when he has dagger / dagger+veil.
Apart from the sily combo with tuskar, this techies is the strongest techies we ever had since they trashed him with the removal of mixed damage. (as long as you play him as a core ofc -and when you face ultra weak heroes 1v1 during laning phase (like potm) you can definitly put techies against them-).
It's exactly like naga, or arc warden, the hero will shine when he will be played correctly. (check what aui did during ti with techies in game WITHOUT tuskar in his team, and you'll be pretty close to what you have to do)
he is good early game... just buy orb of venom and blight stone and go safe lane and start harrassing ppl.. after that buy blink and go suicide squad
He actually has high armor and range. Buy nulls and maybe with drow on your team he could become a very strong offlaner. Techies is good right now if You are really good with him. I guess slack's guide is still relevent.
i actually have a techies only account, i always max suicide and just spam land mines during laning. i go soul ring - boots of speed - blink - medallion, if i get it early enough i get a lot of kills but if i fail the laning phase i start falling off badly
all u need for techies, is techies-trained magnus like me... few months ago i was plying like half of matches on magnus with friends on techies... played that lately too on ranked and won (yeah trash bracket i cant leave it my heroes are team heroes and theres noone to play with :( )

been playing this hero a lot lately with little to no success
dunno if ive been playing him wrong but land mines deal piss poor damage during mid game
is techies useless
