I've been doing it recently in TI ranked to practice it a bit and I don't think it's that bad. You can have a huge impact from the beginning of the game and even up until the last. If you're playing it properly then you can basically win 2 lanes alone by setting up farm for your carry and fucking the enemy mid.

yeah in my last cm game me and PA killed sniper up top twice, so i went to smoke mid then kill voker. every lane was winning so hard that we even got a kill on lc with just me and slardar

its a bit unreliable for raising mmr tho, but then my timbersaw is unreliable too since my carries arent getting farmed (partly because timbersaw steals a lot of farm too)

You probably already know but yeah, i like it.
Although it's kinda hard when you're soloing. It's MUCH better when you have a party to play with.

What kind of supports are best at solo support?

it depends on the game and who i get to play. playing an aggressive roaming dazzle is like in my top 3 favorite things in dota and i play core like 80% of the time.

support is for the peasants who enjoy being ordered around and deserve no rights in everything, because you basically gave up your ability to win yourself the game to 4 other bastards who you might regret depend on later, but who knows? you can't change that already because you gave your right up and it will be your compulsory, mandatory duty to do everything they want or you are responsible for every single thing that happens in the favor of your enemy and deserve 9 reports

It's fun if your team is active. When you get afk pa battlefury farmers or medusa's it sucks. If you get deso pa and you follow him around at minute 7 scoring assists it's fun.

i enjoy play support because support are the real MVP in the game, they just like a mother who sitting "their child", but then at the end when "their child" (mid and carry) "grown up" they forget who the one help them grow. lol sad support life

I like to have that early game lead. Play wisely and extend that advantaje a little longer, until your carries can start to actually play the game. If you picked a good support, whit tons of disables, you will be reliable until the late game (assuming your carries did their job).

i play carry a lot and i got to 7k playing it and im a support player but if u play support well usually that means you understand how to play safelanes correctly which means you get a lot out of ur safelane and can sorta solo carry games out of that.

thats if u dont lsoe patience with the garbage quality of supports in ranked. i broke my items last game after i got first blooded by a slardar bounty becaues my oracle decided to go pull the first wave possible instead of zone and he used his 1 sentry in the jungle for some resaon so a bounty just randomly ended up on top of me.

i dont think playing carry at the level required to win ranked games is particularly hard. on some heroes like pa or slark i just run at the enemy lanes as soon as i have my basic levels and usually i get a kill or two in lane cuz ppl are huge retards.

I dont play support anymore because i became alright on mid and offlane and i cant bear to see them be shit.
Apart from That it isnt fun to Play with garbage cores isnt fun as it isnt to Play with garbage support. If You want your mid to like you be ready to TP, he shouldnt die between t1 and t2, if You were late at least take the return kill. What every support Forget is to secure the rune for your mid. Warding also pretty important kappa.

Well you need to play all roles to have experience with them, so that you can understand them better. And you shouldn't do it because you have to, but because you want to.

I was stuck in 4k since last summer, I was like 10 months going from 3,9 to 4,4 with the mindset of playing carry or mid as much as posible, then about 3 months ago (4,4k mmr) I started playing Crystal maiden and I fucking loved her, its like the ultimate support to carry carries in the 4k bracket, you can easily get lvls and gold to always be able to afford wards and sentry, decent support laner and pretty good roamer when you have tranquils + wand. I started wining a lot with her and disruptor aswell and now I reached 5,2k already. The reality is that in 4k people will refuse to support and if you only play carry more than the 50% of the games there wont be detection for all these rikis, slarks, miranas of the meta. Best way to win is play what nobody else wants to play, learn the role and play it to perfection, there has been few games where I didnt get tranquils + wand + glimmer at about 15-18 min with nearly lvl 11.

Now that I reached 5k, I started playing support mirana aswell, I had a lot of mirana games but mostly as midlaner from my normal skill days so I didnt have that much confidence in playing her support, but after seeing TI players play it I learned some things and now I see her as a second CM, probably even better, with slightly worse early game potential, but similar farming capabilities and much higher and quicker scaling potential as soon as you get Aghs.
