exactly what im doing with cm mid. u can literally plays any hero as mid when you excel with them. Your team needs to be ready to accept ur hero as mid and pick the right combination to win the game thou, as wining mid doesn't win u the game especially with less item dependent heroes on mid

Wd needs absolutely no farm to be useful, all he needs is lvls, if you put him dual offlane to give some extra exp, he will have almost the same exact impact as he did from Midlane

At the end of the day anything can work but If you have a bad laning stage all you have is a wd with an ult vs a Carry who will win u team fights as the game progresses like alch, storm, invoker, Zeus, timber etc

Also. No matter what times you buy, you always die fast, there is no reliable item progression to make wd core in anyway.

If u rush aghs ur ult is canceled any Stun, u rush bkb, then ur ult is still weak cuz no aghs..

U rush glimmer cape, ur countered by dust followed by a stun,

wd cannot farm fast so aghs and bkb is completely unrealistic and good players will bring the fight to you before you get it.

Wd is meant to progress slowly, he is a baby sitter. Who benefits from levels and can be annoying jn fights with his stun and ult, thats all he can reliably do.

WD mid is the best mid. Expect to see it at the International. Then all the naysayers will talk about how OP it is.

I don't think it's that bad, he is way more useful in pubs once he has aghs and no one counters glimmer cape cus they're fucking stupid.

Problem is, idk what mid matchups he really wins. His curse, cask, ult combo is pretty strong especially against an out of position melee, but to stay in the lane he probably needs some in his heal, and I'm not sure curse alone can harass people out of lane.

^ yeah right in your tier fits perfectly because everybody are braindead. but WD doesn't work on mid in higher tiers.

any hero can be mid provided they gave u mid and u do well to redeem back .

Yeah but lich falls off a cliff late game. He would have to secure early game for his team members and he doesn't push well at all, nor is he that great a ganker. You'd win mid hard but then what?

Witch dr with aghs on his ult can do like 30k dmg to a team. It's like a CM ult except not countered by bkb. Plus his heal does help team push early and maledict scales well into late game.

It's like shadow shaman mid, his ult with aghs can do around 30k dmg too and to towers as well.

WD mid is viable if he is supporting the mid player.

I had 3 v 2 mid game a few days ago when I was supporting as wd. Good thing I was mid too otherwise our midder would have a hard time.

But a wd mid... as a midder.... that is just stupid. I mean, I could see it working in Normal Skill, but if you play a real game, no dice.

I did WD mid against Tiny + BH mid and won the lane easily. We won the whole game easily. That doesn't mean it's good or that I'm good at WD. The other team was just rather noticeably worse. I assume in higher skill brackets this wouldn't have worked out so well at all.
