I don't get all this pointless whining about teammates. Typically, you play with the teammates you deserve. Statistically, there is no way that you would constantly get teammates that are worse than the enemy team. From reading this thread, it seems that players who normally play at high MMR or the very high skill bracket are used to playing in a certain way and perhaps adhere more to the meta and commonly held ideas. So, when they encounter players who fall outside of this, they are not very good at adapting, and just get frustrated and stop cooperating with their teammates instead.
I play unranked games on the European/Russian servers, and I have found that I very rarely get feeders or teammates who won't work with the team at all. They are not incompetent, even if a few of them are a bit slow. Very few times, I encountered people who jungled for most of the game, who wouldn't communicate at all or who ruined things for the team. But it seemed very rare, and most games had nice teamplay, with the team working together and trying to get down objectives. Of course, I also encourage this, and try to get my team to play together. Give pointers to teammates where I can and some words of support.
A team of mediocre players can do pretty well in Dota with the right attitude. Often, it just takes one player to ruin that. Sounds like that player might be you.
@Magnus I calibrated an account for someone on Dotabuff who had like 43% winrate and got it to 4.3 calibration so it's possible and you could probably get higher if a core player, or just a better player than I were to do it.
@Swirl your LPQ games are high indication that how you play or behave isn't constructive enough to keep you consistently winning. If you were 6K you could flame all you wanted cause realistically you could win 1v5 if you were good enough. If you're in a bracket where you belong you (sadly sometimes, I know) rely on your team for victory. I am not talking about psuedo-calm or "positive mental attitude" as these are just fronts for deep rooted rage which will very rarely pull you through to victory.
I actually mute people at the start of the game and commit to not saying a word all game. Win or lose I disconnect and go next, and don't let games effect my on-going performance. Don't be scared of muting or unmuting players based on their behavior.
