MMR comparison then and now. in General Discussion

I remember when the MMR system came out I got 4200 or something else (2013), and it wasn't so hard to climb because the people in that bracket weren't bad as today.
    Why am I saying this?
Because a few days ago a friend of mine it bored me saying that it's impossible to climb in that tier no matter how good you're, so I tried to climb his account just 200 MMR nothing else. He has 4320 and the result was 4 wins 6 lost, I know it were a few games, but yeah, it was reaaally frustrating watch how people play and how toxic they are. 2 year ago with my acc I climbed to 5k and from then I do not play too much ranked, just party ranked.
Does it possible to 4k in 2013 was the 5k now ? The difference in terms of skill and knoweldge from 4k in 2013 and now it's huge.

you got outdated 5k mmr which kinda suggests that your real mmr is a bit lower (not much though). you cant rly stomp and roll over players who are just ~500 pts below you.

7ks aint having 100% winrate in 4ks either, but its pretty simple to get out of there by not sucking or just sucking less than everyone else.

700MMR below exactly, I'm not saying it's impossible, I'm saying that it's bit harder I don't know, because there're more people playing, smurf or whatever. I remember when the MMR came out even Pro players got 4.5 just a few ones surpases 5k. after calibration. Maybe I'm outdated, because I do not play frequenty and much less ranked.

over time people get better, if you're at the same mmr all the time, you should be getting worse

Yes, I know, but I'm trying to say that most of people who got 5k after the first calibration when MMR came out were less than 1% population from dota.

i cant understand where that ^^ statement comes from
if people do get better over time, and u keep the same mmr, it means you are getting better, at the same rate as an average dota player.

Guys just want to ask u a question, TI ranked said that it need to play 40 game then u will get option blablabla, so is 10 game tbd counted on that "40" ?
