Tide = against a heavy phisical lane, if they have wd never pick him, maledict eats tide.
DS = Almost all lanes, if they have long range disables is better to pick clock.
Phoenix = this one is hard, her lanning doesnt matter, depends if your team wants more tf
aba= almost same as tide, but a little bit weaker, is better to put aba on a trilane
timber = same as tide, get a early bloodstone, you can dominate the lane, and them gank
beastmaster = almost any lineup, he is very versatile.
Most of this comes with watching lots of tournaments and experience in some, but i prefer more the ganker role than a static offlaner.
As long as there's no Oracle or Cm and their safelane is melee, dankseer should win you the game
when friends already pick 4 core heroes, you need to pick PA, or SF. your team need more manpower to kill all ur enemies.
If you ever want to try a new offlane hero I would suggest slardar. You shouldn't draft him into a lineup that can completely shut him out of lane because he's not great in the jungle w/ iron talon. You should draft him with another physical damage core to get use out of his ult or when you need a solid initiating offlaner. As for your current pool hooks analysis sounds acurate.

I've been playing offlane for a while now, and I love it. However, I am wondering when to pick certain offlane heroes.
Here are the ones I play. If some veteran could tell me the best times to play them, that would be great!
Tidehunter
Dark Seer
Phoenix
Abaddon
Timbersaw
Beastmaster.
I understand the mechanics of these heroes and the game in general (hence my 80% ranked winrate in the last month), I just want to know when one is largely better than the other. I want to know this now cuz I am soon to hit a place where just picking any of my favorite heroes wont win the game, I'll have to pick wisely.
tl:dr, when to pick certain offlaners.
