Uninvited "tier 1" teams always seem to qualify in General Discussion

Talking abt EG (for Americas), Secret (for Europe) etc.

Does this attest to the fact that they're actually leagues above the other teams participating in the qualifiers, or do you reckon some funny business is going on?

Cuz Dota is a game where luck matters a lot, imo its pretty random. I mean, dont get me wrong, for eg. I'm a big fan of alliance, but its interesting to see that even if they're not directly invited they always end up qualifying for the TI, along with EG, Secret, etc. this year.

(alliance is near qualifying, hasnt qualified yet)

they are. and in experience too. But still, dota is pretty random. I guess if theres a professional mmr bracket system, t1 teams would be brackets above the rest

Winning may be random but pros are always ahead from a regular player.

Probably those tier 1 teams pay the poor peasants to lose against them
