Eh you kind of have to combo with him or he's underwhelming. That keeps him balanced I think. Phoenix plus void is pretty awesome but one is usually banned.

I just love him as a hero. So much strats you can do with him. hoho-haha and anything else.. just a very good hero man. This hero received some love@ 6.83, and it will only get bigger leading up to Ti6. He will be the most contested hero i'm sure..
I hope they don't pick him too much I been playing a lot of void lately , same with jugger getting nervous that a big nerf hammer gonna hit them after ti .
Void was 11-9 in the lan finals, I wouldn't say that's major love, just a tad. I mean hell, doom was picked more. Slardar, beastmaster and batrider and dark seer all more popular offlaners.
If you run void offlane you have to combo with him or else he's kind of wasted, cus he's a very good initiator, probably an even better counter initiator but you need to add dmg to his chrono or what's the point? And if you safe lane him, well, he just doesn't do that much dmg compared to other safe lane heroes and doesn't farm super fast compared to like jug, lifestealer, gyro.
