I did it once in my normal skill games. If you max Take Aim first you can use your superior range to keep you safe. You wont necessarily win the lane but it should be difficult for him to bully you or kill you without help from his team.

always denied all his creep like sniper unfair bots do. prioritize denied over lh. always caution invis rune or someone help invoker to crush u. just play safe and denied his creep u should be fine
i can say from experience that a well placed shrapnel is hell in this context. And make sure you kill the spirit if he has one out. Its almost worth a ranged creep. Plus he loses his ammunition for cold snapping you. Which he should. Sniper is a soft kill, what can I say. Also, spirit+snap wont be enough to kill you, so please dodge the sunstrike. No one can correctly predict the direction of a madman. Click in unexpected locations and move your dwarf to safety.
