He was always but he has some downsides.
- Highly relies on ulti
- Aoe kills illus fast
- Manaproblems early on
- No flashfarm so he needs kills to be effective
Does echo sabre work on illusions? I don't think so. Still, sabre is a pretty strong item for that cost.
Ck is a good hero but in the current meta he is useless against many heroes.
They hero suffers from raw damage output in early game.
imo he needs buff or rework.
I think he can be repurposed into a pos3-4, much like riki now, but on highly special occasions where enemy forget to draft AOE or reliable escapes
I like him in the offlane roaming and taking fights. And if you win a right you can take towers so fast with him.
CK is very weak cuz sven, invoker, ember, timber, aa strongly counter him and they r quite popular. When sven and invo get nerfed properly, ck will get his slot

Isn't CK a strong hero right now?
Echo sabre is like drums for him but better, mana regen,mana pool,+10STR and the double attack for quick burst seems pretty strong
With sabre and armlet before 20 mins he becomes a monster
