counter helix deals 180 but it still doesn't add up to the meter

    TripleSteal-

LOL HOW THE FUCK DOES THIS QUEST EVEN WORK
I MEAN TIMBERCHAIN LVL1 IS COUNTED, TIMBERCHAIN LVL2 IS NOT
      LIKE WHAT THE FUCK

      chocopie

^exactly I got bm and agha and still doesn't inspite of the many times counter helix triggered

        TripleSteal-

we either missunderstand the quest requirements, or it is bugged

          chocopie

it is 40 minutes into the game and still 13/15 fucking hell man

            chocopie

              finished it with 13/15

              stupid fuck 2000

tinker should be good if its just about dealing pure damage

                TripleSteal-

mb it is not counted if you deal too much damage

                  chocopie

but it doesn't say the maximum damage, it just says a minimum of 100 gg volvo

                    TripleSteal-

it was just a guess but it doesnt work the way its written anyways

                      Klonu

I belive its only pure DMG, using other kind of skill just interupts the try. Ive finished IT without any problems at 3 star with lesh. Just walk around enemie using ulti. Buying scapter will make you finish the quest only faster.

spamming that lightning storm on point

                          jo~

                            you misunderstand the quest
to get 3 star, you need to do magic/pure damage of 20 instances each exceeding 100dmg within 10 seconds (idk for magic if its before or after reductions)

                            TripleSteal-

ye i alrdy figured it out, u r right

                              TripleSteal-

the way it is counted in-game kinda confused me

                                jo~

you think it counts level 1 chain but not 2, but the game records the first time u chain someone as 1 instance done in that time period
you use level 2 chain again but its again only 1 instance so it doesnt show any change

                                  TripleSteal-

                                    yup.

                                    TripleSteal-

for instance, do u have any idea, how's periodinc damage of timbersaw' ult count there? on lvl16, it deals 100 dmg/sec. considering its pure, its actually 100 dmg. is it still counted as one instance, or multiple (quantity equal to time it hit someone in seconds)

                                      jo~

Deals 25/37.5/50 damage (before reductions) in 0.5 second intervals, starting 0.5 seconds after reaching the target area.
                                        probably mutliple

                                        TripleSteal-

                                          ye, seems reasonable
what hero do u suggest using for that considering im just playing usual solo ranked?

                                          jo~

offlane zeus or just play cm and get a good ulti

                                            Snerdly

Is it 100 damage before reductions/amplifications or after? That would make a big difference for a lot of heroes.

If it's before reductions veno is pretty easy if you hit a bunch of heroes with a max skill ult with a scepter, so you get 100 damage per hero per second, and to make it even easier gale does 100 damage twice in the first 5 seconds to every hero it hits. It's possible to get all the way up to 35 with a 5 man gale & nova (although I realize in reality it's unlikely to hit a 5 man gale). Since you only need 20 that leaves a lot of room for error- which is actually probably important because if a hero dies in under 5 seconds you are no longer damaging them.

If it's after reductions/amplifications probably lesh is one of the better ones (or veno with a veil), although Pugna also deserves recognition. With a max life drain with a scepter and either an ether lens or even just enough raw int (or a veil, or an ET or SD on your team I guess), if you get 3 seconds of life drain whilst the target is decrepified you get 1 instance over 100 every .25 seconds, which brings you up to 12. Maybe you can get 13- not sure if the cast animations are fast enough (14 is the theoretical maximum for a decrepified target since is lasts 3.5 seconds, but I'm pretty sure that's impossible). Add in some nether ward zaps and a nether blast to boot and it could be pretty easy. Of course, if they have a pipe or a Rubik that makes trouble too.

Other heroes worth looking into are axe, sand king, batrider (flamebreak is 1 instance per second, and firefly is 2... I think.. and with enough sticky napalm they can both get over 100 per hero per instance, giving you a ridiculous theoretical maximum of 75 100+ damage instances in 5 seconds with those 2 abilities), cm (nova + lucky ult), Earth Spirit (if it counts damage before reductions, or if not he needs a veil), Enigma (if enemy heroes have enough health, midnight pulse + Black Hole- or even just a raw 5 man max level black hole will do it), and, of course, good ol' Zeus. Or I guess Rubick if you're playing against some of these heroes and you really want to do it in style.

OR, there's many heroes that can do it with a Mjollnir and a little luck (or other useful abilities in addition to the lightning). OR one of the above heroes can get a Mjollnir to make it even easier!

Behind all the theoretics though, enemy heroes will die, or someone will have a BKB, or you'll get stunned, or they'll run away or something will go wrong somewhere. That's all stuff to keep in mind as to who's actually the best in reality vs. on paper. Any of those heroes are decent candidates though. I'd say try whatever one(s) you're most comfortable with.
