Full Support in TBD?? in General Discussion
Vanellion-

My friend asked me if playing as a support role as ur main role gives you the same TBD mmr as a carry. I really didn't know how to answer the question, any of you guys know if playing as a support hero helps your TBD mmr? or how can you boost your mmr with supporting your team with bad carries

To be honest. It shouldn't. By right winning games as a support should be the same as winning as a carry. But it seems
Valve cares too much about ur stats in a game. If u play support and lose you'll tend to get a lower mmr

I know its hard, because he can plays very well as a support yet he still has a hard time getting high mmr from TBD.

I think dota uses markers such as cs/10 min deny/10min wards bought, dewards, so on and so fourth in order to calibrate and the system is supposed to check you role and compare to those markers, so i think its fine either way.

If you lose while playing support in TBD RIP 500mmr

I calibrated the International Ranked MMR and got 3432. The highest range I think I reached was at like 3600-3700+ after I won 5 straight, than I went into a 3 game losing streak and went down against players ranging fromg 3100-3500~ I won the last two.

I usually dont play much ranked games, but the highest rank I ever got was like 3650 and I tilted and went down to like 3200, now I'm at 3302 and too lazy to try to play it more.

I'll be playing the International ranked for the time being, as about 8/10 of my games I had some good people to play with. I went 7-3 as support.

              Vengeful Spirit 6-2
              Jakiro 1-0
              Ancient Apparition 0-1

Overall, I think us as support players shouldn't dwell on hoping for a nice mmr. I think we should just focus on winning and expecting the heavy lifting of the general support stuff to help our teammates win. I played a selfless Vengeful Spirit player and the results came out great for the most part! Best thing I did was communicate through mic.

Good luck my fellow brothers and sisters on your rise!

[Edit] My theory is, if I went 7-3 in 10 games, I'm going to expect to win 6-7 out of every 10 games if I continue playing the way I did in my calibration games. I think your friend will be fine, but he/she will have to accept the rank he gets, because I'm sure hes better than what his number is, it will just take time.

im still top as TBD in 4400 games and ive lost like 4/6 lol. i always seem to get the team with 4k ppl while enemy has all 5-7k players, if i get lucky might get over 4.6 but i doubt it.

                  dunce

if u are 4k player for example, u will calibrate around 4k regardless of ur role
