i tried it on slark (after silvers edge) and void as an early item, results were pretty decent tbh

You built it on meepo purely for the stats? :o Isnt vlads better since its the same price? Although I could see meepo putting hurricane pike into decent use for some sick self saves :D

@Random: dagon is better than vlads if you want a item that give u no stats

also you dont upgrade lance, you just sell it (or multiple dragon lances) to make lategame items

i keep telling you its stupid. you get around 100 hp more than youd get from ultimate orb and a whooping 5 dmg more. for 200 gold less and an item that you cant use in any way shape or form. (except making pike on meepo xD)

treads aghs blink (tp/bottle/aegis??) you run out of slots so fast. and at this point you want to start having something that matters, not walk around with 2 fucking dragon lances and hope you can auto attack opponents to death.
there's a reason why no one made drums on meepo over ultimate orb (regardless of better stats+active for the cost). hell, id rather buy a mek after aghs than having lance on meepo.

The mass dragonlance on meepo is exactly the same shit as my old mass halberd on huskar. it's too finish the game fast. When clone of meepo have 2700 hp at 20 minutes, it's no joke

if you can finish the game at 20th minute mark it means you are snowballing. if you are snowballing you can win the game with pretty much any items.

Hi guys as a 4.8k player dragon lance is good, this is my explanation: why dragon lance? It will give you +10 strength and +10 agility and its good for your stats. But you know dragon lance is cost of 1900 instead of it rush to build iskadi or buy a ultimate orbs +10 all attributes and it cost 2100, much more expensive than dragon lance. But for its good dude for thos who said that its not good damn your not a meepo player that experiment build items or for short noobs/newbies GLHF guys

what are your control groups on meepos

i have 1 - main; 2 - every other; 3 - all; 4 - second and third; 5 - fourth and fifth
but everyone seems to do it differently, i thought it makes sense to put two meepos into each group to clear jungle/waves

or it's just because i'm garbage meepo xd

just use what youre comfortable with, theres no correct set up. mine's 1 all, 2 all but main and f1/2/3/4/5 for individual ones.

mine is c for all, v for everyone except main and space for main

i use the same groups as arin except for 3

1 main - 3 others - 4 all - 5 meepo 2+3 - 6 meepo 4+5 - alt-2 all meepos except 2 - alt-3 all meepos except 3 - alt-4 all meepos except 4 - alt-5 all meepos except 5 - D illusions

Dragon Lance is really great on meepo. I guess the hatred is because of the reluctance to change.

Back to the dota 1 time, I was one of the first people to get Bot, Aghs, and then stats items for meepo. And then people flamed me for not getting meka, pipe, ac. It's pretty much the same situation right now..

it wasnt even good until aghs change, which was like late 2012 or early 2013. at which point, 6 months down the line d2 officially came out. yet you make it sound like you revolutionized something in 10yr old game XD (which you most certainly didnt)

and if you people cant grasp why difference between 2100hp and 2000 hp is negligible and that you are literally at a loss when you have to sell an item (which you will have to) then well done, im lost for words.

You can just get 3 lances, gold for buyback, kill rosh and go for a GG push. There's almost no pub team that can deal with that unless your team ridiculously loses early game.

and you dont think you could have won those games with orbs instead of lances? you think those +5/+10 stats were actually the reason why you prevailed in said games?
youre basically just risking 1000 gold if the game goes past 30th minute mark, which is not unheard of at all, if they actually counter your hero. if they dont, then you have far less worries than saving 200 gold on "cost effective" item.

the only, and i mean, only saving grace dragon lance has imho, is that you can actually fucking buy it in the base unlike stupid orb for which you have to walk to secret/side shop.
seriously i had this fucking same conversation with lizzard 1000 fucking times about his "stupid" 4 orbs aghs treads build. and auto attack fountain. feels like bloody deja-vu.

You can win so fast with dragon lances that u can almost any counter

whatever no need to argue, do what u think is best, and ill do what i think is best. imo this build is genius and almost all other good meepo players are doing it aswell

Well, it greatly depends on what playstyle you're playing. If you go for the fitghing PT build, getting dragonlance is pretty shitty. If you go for BoT buiild stacking lance is not that bad of an idea, even tho i am personally not a fan of it.

@roadto6k: how do you know I did not revolutionize something. I immediately came up with the build after reading the 100% stat change log. I even wrote some guide on dotafire back then after experimenting the build. Meepo was my favorite since 2010, when meka vlad was still popular. It could be my invention and people started following after reading my guide.

FYI its impossible to dissmantle it into BKB + Yasha for instance or PT.
Just be Carefull of that earthshaker pick.
