5 th game - loss. We had terrible abadon, easth spirit and useless sven. I moved up slitghtly to 3350
6th game - Mid with Warlock. It was tough game and we won. I had again highest HD. - 3450
7th game - Loss with Lich (my one of the most favorite hero). This game was pretty obvious loss from the start. Bad pick and bad players. - 3550 average
8th game - Mid with Warlock - big stomp and very fast game. (again average 3550)
Last 2 games. Still a little chance to calibrate to vhs.
yea i know, but i want to play support. We will see what mmr i will get. Maybe i will finish calibration during today.
This is hard to say...warlock is not carry. He is Pusher, support, initiator. I prefer to play this hero mid, because he is insane if you play him correctly. But anyway i am mostly support.
i finished my calibratin games yesterday. i started 3.8 , finished it 4.3, in my last game my internet went down noone paused, gg
i could get higher mmr since i was the only one who dealt damage coming from oflane as a pa but net of(lucky me)
anyways my opinion is, in these 10 games
1. you dont play support
2.if you play mid or carry you have to finish first amongst 10 in terms of damage otherwise its a drop. example:(my 6th or 7th game i was pa safe, i finished game 5 0 10, highest gpm xpm, but my mider invoker dealt more damage, so it droped me)
so overal i think its a good solution to go oflane with ahero that deals damage like pa .the game sees that you are in dificult position,playin against 2 or 3, and if you succeed in dealing damage , it rewards you, or you go mid or carry and you rekt em all, like i did in 8th game for example where i gained 300 mmr
Dude i am not playing support ? Really, so what am i playing ? I am playing mid rarely. When i am playing mid with warlock i don´t feel to be carry. I am plying always as summoner, pusher, healer. I see there mostly carry mid players who reach vhs....no support
Lol and how am i look like ? Like a carry with 400 gpm and 886 observer wards bought in 106 matches ?
i bought also a lot of sentry, but not that much as u. Maybe i have different style. I am a lot aggresive player ganking a lot and also i am trying to buy some items if i can. Like scythe, force staff, dagger. You are maybe more position 5 oriented. Iam not, but you can´t say that i am not buying useful items :)
^You never had Glimmer, Pipe or Vlad in your inventory. Few Meks and GG boots, but you have lots of Scepters and Blink Daggers.
I calibrated as 3560 support. Not really well, but not that bad. It is way more harder to get vhs with support than with carry.
Warlock isn't a carry, but you're playing him as a core position. Just because you're not farming all the time/buying wards doesn't mean you're not a core position.

Hello, first of all i am brand new player in dota 2. I am playing several months. I played the most of VHS matches in normal games. It does not mean that i will get VHS in ranked !!!. You can play vhs games and still end up in normal skill.
Before the calibration matches i had terrible losing streak and it probably degraded my hidden mmr.
Currently i already played 4 calibration games
1st game - I started with average MMR 3270 (this was little surprise for me). I won this game as a support/ganker, but i had shitty l overall performance (KDA, HD, gpm/xpm) so i went down to 3070 MMR. You see that you can lose your mmr even if you win.
2nd game - I lost game but i was significantly best in my team so i went up again to 3270
3rd game - i won and i was good, but not the best in my team with stats ( due to i was a support again). I went up to 3300+
4th game - This game was rape and i had the best stats in my team (highest KDA and HD, TD, HH) currently don´t know how my mmr had changed.
Don´t know if there is a chance to go up to vhs during calibrating matches, but we will see.
But it is prove, that you need to play really well if you want to rise your mmr in calibration matches, but it is possible. But SUPPORT seems to be punished a lot. You can win your game, but if you feed, you can lose your MMR a lot.
It is kind a tough to get to vhs with support if you are new player.
