Suggestions to make DB Hero rating more accurate in General Discussion

Alright so we all know that when we want to learn some new hero we look at DB ratings and tryy to find best ones, to get quite disappointed and find only small amount of the legit very good players because of various reasons.

Playing in stack can be one of those reasons, but it isn't that easy that it easy to solve that problem.

One of the biggest problems in the system is that more and more players are abusing the expose public match data to get high winrate and KDA and when you look at the top players and search their ID in the game, it often happen that you see them lose games that aren't recorded on DB.

The solution to that problem is quite simple: If a player wants to be on the DB rating leaderboard, he needs to have his stats updated his match history here: https://www.dotabuff.com/pages/enabling-statistics

The "UPDATE MATCH HISTORY" button should be more accessible like being present at every player's profile and like you need to have one match played in X days requirement, you need to have updated your match history every X days.

Another big flaw is the pro divison which IMO should be completely removed, but the matches played with certain hero in tournaments should be worth a lot more points, basically in every tournament game players are awarded with far more points.
The statistics for those matches can be pulled off from player's esports profile and then multiply every rating points based on those stats by a factor of X.

So if a player plays some hero very often in pro matches and has a lot of success with it, he will still be at the top ratings, but if some pro player never even played certain hero in tournaments but has 40 pub games with 60% winrate, he will have the same rating as other Diamond 10 players. Ofc it still wouldn't be perfect, but it would be gar better than the current system.

I'm not sure how hard would be to solve this Pro division problem, but the suggestion to fix people abusing "expose public match data" thing should be quite easy to implement.

    Thoughts?

I think they dont care too much about that, but i mostly agree.

Well I think that it's quite important since every time you click on certain hero you see the top 10 players and can expand the list.

If someone asks for good players on certain hero to spectacte, aside from the obvious famous streamers like Waga for TA, most commmonly people will tell them to look at the top DotaBuff players and then there's a problem because that list is pretty inaccurate.

Aside from what I suggested, there are other problems like people who play normal MM in a 5stack or those that have extremely high number of games on certain hero and some say that they may not be that good actually.
