Relentless

You are especially correct if the 1000 games experience is confined to a few heroes. But I'm not talking about decision making. I'm just saying mechanics really don't improve much after the initial period. You can practice and refine a certain hero... its like getting into shape, but you won't continue to become better and better with more practice of that hero after you have already trained it.

It's not hard to have played a couple thousand dota games and still be ignorant of certain areas of game play. There is still more to learn, but this won't have much impact on MMR usually. This is because the things you don't know after 1,000 games are things that just don't become relevant much. ie the cast range of heroes you never play or play against... the cds of things you experience once every 100 games. Such details don't impact your winrate because they seldom happen at all.

Now if you played only carries and suddenly switched to support.. then you would start out sucking at support heroes and gradually improve again. But you would probably not get to a higher MMR with the support heroes than you did with the carry heroes. In the end, you would have much greater game understanding... but still be the same MMR. You could gain a clear view of why each game was won and lost and what you did wrong etc.... but you would not be able to necessarily apply that understanding to win in the future because at some point you will realize that what you did wrong was missclick this and fail that, and generally be too slow to outplay someone else.

IF you watch your replays and truly find out what everyone was doing and trying to do you will see that the game was won and lost almost entirely on mechanical skill and mechanical mistakes. This is true for nearly all pub dota games, strategy doesn't matter more than a tiny bit unless its actually a team game being played by teams in captains mode. Then strategic choices can make it very easy for one team to win despite making more mechanical errors.

^yo relentless, so basically slow hands lose games and fast hands wins games?

i consider myself not very reactive, and all those reaction times you came up with are most likely false dude, at all times in the game i knew exactly where void would be and thats the only thing i needed to know.
besides i played on a shitty wifi with ~150-250 ping all game so i could never react, i only anticipated shit.

this was a easy game to know what void will do cuz i baited him with "?" and he was trying really hard to chrono me, thats why he played bad.

i believe any human being that is not overly mentally or physically damaged can get 4k mmr, doesn't mean you have to have next level reaction skill.

even you dude, if i lived nearby i could just come over and in like 1-2 months you would gain at least 500 mmr or something.
my friend who was 1.6k or something is now 4.3k mmr (in only 1 year or so) cuz i helped him with my 4k mmr skilz (kappa) and taught him thing i see better players do to the extent of my mmr (if that makes sense).

and aslo this friend of mine is 6'6" (like 2 meters tall) and he has really slow reaction, i would say it's average reaction time at best.

and btw you got some timing wrong in replay i think, cuz first time i dodge at min 17 not 24

Meh I actaully adjusting my game to the lag better now I still not playing that good but a lot Easyier to manage now that I used to it I also not using any heros that need a skill shot or a lot of clicking

              Riguma Borusu

I lasthit and react WAAAAAAY better against bots. It's just so easy to lasthit it's ridiculous. But yeah, I've started TRYING to adjust myself to the lag, it evens out that other people in the match also have some ping, obviously, but the game's harder both for me and them so it does not really matter - there's no saying their last hitting wouldn't also be better if they had less lag, so I don't really see this as a problem unless you're playing a particular hero or item build that requires dead on reflexes, obviously manta dodging is 'nerfed' by ping in some ways, and puck is harder to play in a high ping environment.

So far support and jungler seem best suited to playing with extra lag especially jungler .
