most heroes wouldn't buy it anyway. Its not that its bad on a lot of heroes, its that it can't replace any of their core items and by the time they could go for it, they should be going for higher tier items like buriza, mkb, butterfly, abyssal or whatever
yeah but having 9 units draining mana instead of 10 doesn't make that big of a difference as a PL. your main hero draining mana isn't where your damage comes from, so losing that extra 25 mana burn per hit is not going to be a game changing difference
oh ranges don't get mana burn? I always forget that. I might not bother with it for sniper then as he needs other stats (HP!). But on void or riki, wowzas. And again it's sweet on void.
What about TA? You could still get deso with diffusal. Strong build?
And to whoever asked, it doesn't stack for AM. Mana burns don't stack.

Which heroes really make use of this? My first thoughts were troll, sniper and spectre. Troll lets him still get satanic which is better than vlads for him and build a really effective agi item. Problem is with all his core items you might not have room. Dominator into satanic is core, bkb is usually required, and if you don't get some mana regen on him you will be hurting so aquila is usually core too. I'm not sure when you have time to get a diffusal in there, but it is quite good on him with his attack speed.
Spec and sniper seem obvious since they are both great skadi carriers. I usually swear by s&y on sniper but maybe now diffusal, manta, skadi would be better. Those illusions with mana burn will hit hard.
