20 here, barely. Started from 2007 (yes i had access of PC around 7 years old for reasons) around Allstar era, witness many heroes and many "dota mods" from the Astral breaker, Gambler, Void Demon. My favourite hero is Doom and Jakiro although i mainly play offline (only with my brother and his friends).
22 - almost 28 (OMAGAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAD)
started with frozen throne and D-Day, X-heroes , Tactics and war, Element TD maps (as I'm naming, I miss them) 7 years ago when I was 16
first time I saw someone at gamenet store who was playin sf Coiling and I asked about it. my first Hero which I used to play good with was Ursa
and started dota2 last year at 23.
there was a period which I stopped playin dota and I did play offline games on ps4 ...
but as our friend said, dota2 is a good waste of time and if Ima waste it anyway, I prefer playin dota2.
I dont really like to see dota2 with updates like you throw some chills or you throw ball and score goal wtf is that! dota is Holy for me and I wish they stop doing these bulshit updates and just rework on heroe skills not the whole game. when we were playiin warcraft it didnt have much graphic and quality but we enjoyed it even more than dota2 cause we enjoyed the whole strategic point. now the person who plays dota2 loves game for Gameplay and strategic stuff not the bullshit fun updates and hero sets -_-
15 now 21, youth sucked until i stumbled upon this cursed game for the better
yeah I don't regret a single minute playing this game. In-fact it helped me become mentally stronger as an individual.
I started playing wc3 since I was 9 years old, at that time was when I first got my first laptop. My first hero was Dragon Knight, he was so buffed back then, I always take skill 3 first and skip skill 1 omegalul.
After playing singleplayer for 1 year, I started playing multiplayer wc3 (battle net) in order to play on a server, you need to buy an access to that server so that you will able to join the server, so I bought it for 5 dollars and started playing online.
In 2013 I also switched from laptop to pc.
At around 2014 my friend who also played wc3 suddenly telling me to stop playing this shit quality game and switch to Dota 2, at first I didn't want to switch but then when I watch him playin it, I was so amazed by the quality so I started playing it around 2014 at age 13.
I'm 19 now and still playing this game, my goal in this life is to become professional dota 2 player like tyler1, and stream 24/7 to donate money to pokimane, I'm at tier 3 subs now >_<
Started 10, now 21. 11 years still waiting to have my own team. So I can play dota at WCG (TI now)
@ SHoukyaku, I make my name stuff like this just so bait out the retards. I don't care what my name is, and I really get annoyed when shitters don't understand how lane equilibrium works and nuke the wave like the retarded ape they are.
^try not being archon.
Not understanding the lane and making mistakes is what they do, thats why they're archon (and so r u)
You're a fool if youre getting mad at this kind of thing.
You probably watch rtz getting mad at his support for ruining the lane eq, but thats understandable since theyre top tier immo player they should already know about lanes.
But youre getting mad at ur archon team mates for the same reason is ridicolous.
You probably makes some silly mistakes too, you just dont know what it is.
lol i have been immortal and I bought this account because I wanted to see how the game has changed in the lower brackets.
I turned off my stats because I wanted to stop getting counter picked.
noob shit divine thinks he's good because he got carried to div 1 by OP lycan hero. LMFAO try learning a hero that takes actual skill dog
2003... 14 years old - just turned 31 yesterday.
Watching way more than playing last 5 years.
played some dota 1 at wc3 era. but wasn't 'addicted'. just played it like any other mode in wc3, like footman or sheeptag or the thing (less then 100 games in total). first got wc3 at 2005 when I was 9.
2011-2013 played mainly league (age 16-18). but tried other games occationaly (HoN, Hearthstone, minecraft... and casual games), and dota 2 was one of them. at the time I thought it was pretty meh...
Then had a long period 2013-2018 where I got out of school and worked in different low wage jobs. Didnt play games much at that time.
Wanted to start collage around 2018. Quit my job half a year before semester starts (wanted to have some fun before). started playing dota (and then got addicted). Promised myself ill stop playing once studies start. But didn't. dragged a year with horrible scores at school but still passed courses barely.
All that time I wasn't working as well so was burning through my saving pretty repeatedly (I acumalated much money through that 2013-2018 work period... but after 2 years of unemployment I run out). So early 2020 found myself pennyless. Im 24 today.
Started D2 since beta, 28 now. Unfortunately i don’t think there’s a big future in D2. It’ll be stable with us old players, but the player count can only go down.
Newer generations aren’t gonna pick d2 over LOL, valorant or whatever’s new out there.
i started dota 1 when i was 7
dota 2 shines and started playing it at 11 y.o
now im 15 5k mmr

just curious, i'm guessing most of us are ages 22-35.
I'm 26 and I started my sophomore year of college, so I was like 19-20 when I decided to waste a good portion of my life playing dota 2 instead of socializing.
