i dont think so .... a lot of monkeys searching as suport and then playing core heroes couse "they dont know about att " ruining every fucking game .. :/
My thoughts abt the new ranking system:
-It will be harder for pub stars to start playing competitive Dota. Teams will likely just queue as 5 in ranked. You’d have to commit to a group of team members/friends early, and train and play together to rise up and grow in skill and team coordination, to climb ranks and gain interest
-we’re gonna see a lot of people will underwhelming mechanical skill and gamesense playing in higher MMR matches because they got a friendly boost from a divine/immortal friend.
-boosters about to make BANK.
yeah, current mmr system sucks. u can just queue core and pick sup in 5-stack and enjoying getting carried, mean while your core mmr increasing!!!!
but soon they will fix it and things going to be ok.

Being a pubstar doesnt bring you attention from pro teams, the ability to win solo Q games doesnt make you a pro.
Professional games and pubs are 2 different games.
The best way for new players to get attention is to play in inhouse leagues, or guess what, playing in a team as 5 against freaking team secret in a pub and owning :)
Still a lot of confusion about the role selecting thing... But then again, this has been live for a little over a day now. With change this drastic, there is bound to be confusion as all of the people don't follow up the updates with any regularity.
Saw a couple of smurfs still yesterday... But I guess it is bound to happen as new things stomp out some issues and brings up some new ones. I have a feeling that today, when I get to play again, it will be marginally better than yesterday and it will keep on getting better until pretty much everyone is on board with the new system. And by that time, things will seem pretty normal again.
I enjoy the flexibility of playing both core and support ( mostly mid and pos 4 ).
I'm sad that I now have two separate MMR grinds :/
I guess now I'll find out which I'm actually better at?
In 3/4 games I recently played all players chose the correct hero on their specified role. I think this new mm is good.
In 2 men party I can imagine picking core role and some better core picks support role and then we just swap heroes
So far I like the new MM a lot. It takes a lot of the confusion out of the drafting phase that normally exist in my garbage tier bracket
I love it! Sad that they split up the mmr though. Had great games so far, was able to play what i play best, no flaming over carry, mid anymore, this wonderful tbh
its amazing! aside from a few games where your offlane goes full retard and picks a 1 pos hero as 3, its a much needed improvement.
ban techies from ranked as well.
Got my mmr after one game. Solo = 4.8k | Party = 5.3k
Then it became Core = 4.97k | Support = 5k flat
Though my rank went from Divine 2 59% - Divine 4 32% in a party match with Legend/Ancient friends strangely enough.
7 games very good, 1 game was much worse than before the update
I'd say most of the time the quality of the games is better, but the games that would have been horrible before the patch become even worse now
Update: played my first ranked match since the summer scrub update came out.
Played CK support when I was listed as pos 5. Got flamed during pick phase and during the early phase of the game, but ended up winning and getting the respect from my teammates, including everyone commending.
Probably shouldn’t make conclusions from a single game, but playing off-position heroes immediately gets negative reactions from teammates, so you have to prove to them that you are legit about it
Had a good run the first couple of days, but it has turned to complete fucking shit. Had someone claim hard supp was off/roam, people pick cores while qd as support, and I feel like the people I play with has no clue of what to do in their roles.
I had a SF and a bristleback off lane stand on the same camp in jungle while an AM was free farming safe, 5 minutes into the game, like????

Regardless I probably won’t play until next week. My net here at home has been really spotty for CSGO and Dota, with random ping spikes and packet loss, so I’ll wait until uni starts again so I can play in the compshops
