Very clever. Here is an excellent piece of advice of my own for people who want to play meepo, but are normally techies players. Buy a shadow amulet -- Not shadow blade! Just a shadow amulet. As soon as you have max poof, start using shadow amulet on your clones at strategic points throughout the map, and just leave them there. If you see anyone cross them -- poof! It's like techies mines, or TA traps, but with meepo. Very simple, clever hack in case you are playing random draft and techies is banned, or your teammates threatened to report you if you pick techies.

i saw some guy is using this trick, he always put 1 meepo at base so he can always poof back to fountain everytime meepo gets 50% hp and have 100% hp meepo at all times

ye,i look him playing meepo and looked so cool doing it seriously
id rather send my meepo clones to jungle to farm... as a meepo player use every advantage ( hero lvl, items, gold) since meepo is a fast farmer and level... finish the game early as fast as u can.. ez MMR

Keep one meepo as close to your base as possible, and keep it at low health. When you think you might die, deny yourself by neutral creeps!
I am sure this technique is going to get you to 3k!
