Higher mmr matters.
Your medal wont increase if you win party game and if your solo is higher.
So basically if I play party ranked, and I lose all my games, I don't need to bother about my medal progress getting affected as long as my solo MMR is higher, right?
Also, say I stopped playing solo ranked till my party MMR reaches my solo MMR, does my medal progress not increase at all ?
in my experience, my party mmr is higher, and when i win or lose in ranked party games it affects the % progression to my next medal much more than if i lose a solo rank game. 10% - 15% for party games and 1%-2% for solo games. so yeah, higher on matters.
and if you match your solo and rank party mmr, u can get a higher medal but most likely by only one star. I won 30 games with 2 loses in solo rank and i didnt get shit increase in medal for it hahaha
So basically the pseudo-code is something like
if (soloMMR >= partyMMR)
medalMMR = soloMMR
else
medalMMR = partyMMRmedalStar = calculateMedal(medalMMR)

Is the medal calculated on the highest of the 2 MMRs or is it some weighted average?
-The reason I ask this is because my solo MMR > party MMR, and I have seen my progress increase slightly when I lose a party ranked, and sometimes it remains unchanged, and sometimes it decreases slightly.
-So now if I play party ranked and lose matches, will it impact my medal progress?
-Also, if I win party ranked matches while the party MMR is still less than solo MMR, will my medal progress increase?
