I don't want to sound like a prick but Solar Crest on LS is complete waste of money, IMO.
Solar Crest 2625 gold, Armlet 2370 gold and Echo Sabre 2650 gold. The Crest is the worst item for LS among the 3 by far and you can not afford to get all these 3 items.
I also think Echo Sabre isn't that good tho. I usually go for Phase > Armlet > SnY & Deso (order depends on the enemy) > AC or Mjollnir for attack speed > Abyssal Blade.

Tell me why crest is a bad item compared to echo sabre. The goal of a team picking ls is to infest smbd(i will use slad as example) blink stun go out and rage and within your rage you need to kill 1guy and either disengage or keep going for other guy
I'm not a fan of building Echo Sabre on LS either. But what makes Echo Sabre better than Solar Crest is that double hit with ms slow. It provides 1 more right click and better attack speed, better right click damage. Also, Slardar was a bad choice for an example. You already have an armor lowering skill on your side. Why would you spend money on an item that would do the same thing?
I suggest you to go into lobby, pick LS (with phase+armlet and sabre/crest), get Slardar by your side and jump at an enemy with both builds to see kiting potential. Echo Sabre is the better item for LS.
Tentative first attempt, build seems at the very least not complete trash like the echo sabre AM build. Needs more testing to see if it's superior to other options. I went phase->medal->deso->crest which felt like a pretty efficient buildup.
Good:
-Evasion stacks nicely with lvl 20 talent
-Goes a long way to solving your armour problems, especially when -armour heroes like weaver/slardar are mega popular
-Cheap mana regen
-Insanely efficient buildup (blight->medal->second blight->actual items) fits really nicely with Naix power curve
-Ally saving ability
Bad:
-Extra clunky button to use
-Lose your armour in your rage duration
-Doesn't help you stick to people like sabre does
-Less mana regen than sabre
I will try this build more often in the future and see if it is truly worth of new meta.
^slahser pa is outdated bf pa. Pos 3-4 pa can roam with dagger oov blight. You dont need to rush u dont need much farm. Just solar crest seems like a gr8 item on aggressive pa, one who maxes blink strike first, and is thus less tanky.
Generally as lifestealer you go on someone with rage then you disengage while your shit coolsdown if the fight hasn't already been won. So you generally only ever use your solar crest whenever you rage so I find that you only have the lost armour when you are raged.
it's defensive/offensive tho + if the other cores deal physical or not right?
cause deso gives more offensive power bc of the +damage but solar gives evasino and tankiness

I shall try this build, last time I tried a dotabuff build it was echo sabre AM and it was fucking terrible, so I have low expectations.
