On another note: why does everyone hate on Gyro so much? He's like the easiest hero to rampage with nowadays. I mean yeah, he has a notoriously hard start to the game, but.. yeah anyway. I like him. And troll too. Both are really fun imo.
That's because his auto attacks are now centered around magical procs which translates poorly vs another hyper carry with a bkb on. But give the ol' codger his aghs and a crit and he'll still put up one hell of a fight. Just a fun hero ONCE you get going with him. Guess I'm just a fan of his aghs now is all.
if by spamming you mean first picking every game then i think slark is pretty bad.

Well I LIKE it. But I've never done it in anything but bot matches, so... I do have reservations about it in a real game. You don't have to be so insulting about your opinions though!

Gyro aghs is quite useful if all you want to do is right click to a camp, stand there and then right click another camp without actually right clicking on the creeps themselves in the camp. Saves a small amount of mouse activity.
Yeah but it carries Gyro's full damage and can proc anything he can. That's why I like to do the wild aghs, mjollnir, mkb and crit route. Let the little heathen do some of the lifting. Then again my laziness towards actual efficiency, rather than preach it, is most likely why I remain in the NS bracket... Soooo.. pub stomp build, I guess? You know, the ones where people are too lazy to pick up a simple BKB.
If u do the aghs build u get maelstrom but don't upgrade to mjollnir cuz aghs also works with satanic late game to much better effect than some lightning. And if u have both u won't lifesteal off of lightning procs which cud kill u. I think the build is aghs maelstrom bkb crits/mkb satanic/skadi. Butterfly to finish it up, or maybe rapier. This build farms way faster than the regular sny bkb build, only u need a 4200 gold item and maelstrom to do it making this shit rlly awkward. It does give more HP than sny but sny help gyro fight early way better which IMO is what he needs since he can't farm fast anymore with flak cannon nerf and magic res buff to neutrals. Aghs is still not the worst late game pick off if u plan on going rapier next for the added dps. The HP is OK too.
Well I will. I thought it was planned out with good points, though, I might make the Maelstrom before Aghs for the accelerated farming power and slightly better early game team fight potential, should I feel the need to participate. Really good point on Satanic. Never thought about the lightning procs being my end with the lifesteal being lost.
I feel like you're right in the sense of a core Doom. Going into lane with Doom is a surefire disaster nowadays, but I think the level 1 roam and smoke gank Doom that does stuff for his team while providing like the Frostmage armor mid game and his ult is really invaluable to his team. That kind of Doom is closer to 3 star complexity in my book though. A lot more thought has to go into counter and utility items and creep skills then a core Doom. And you have to actually get work done in the first 5 minutes too otherwise you fall off quickly where a BH or Riki would def be doing better things for their team.
I mean of all cores? Just pick out the really shitty ones, gyro, pl.
But of viable cores? Slark probably, first pick slark is really bad. Last pick is great though.

ive checked hero winrates but they dont really matter; brood is actually a boosting hero for some for example, also i think an AM spammer would eventually figure out a way to outfarm his counters
no supports-played-core please, also no gyro or some shit, those heroes were once great heroes to spam
im specifically asking for a core hero that u NEVER see getting success when spammed
