just fastpick sf and take mid
the enemy team will rush to get enemy heroes to counter you and you will 80% sure get a counter mid hero
i experience this way too often but thats just the amgic with dota
you will get enemies like bat, [pudge/invoker] (to some extent), lanaya, the new phx hero (the one that silences), SILENCER, etc
what to do? --> deal with it
equally skilled will both get farmed and no one dies. I've beaten mid vs. TA with viper, a better skilled TA can beat a viper though. Doom counters pudge mid, but a good pudge won't ever die to Doom. It all depends on how skilled a player is and understanding what he can get away with and what his opponent's skill build is.
Matchmaking is 99% counterpicks. Everyone wants to win, so it's unavoidable. Best bet is to elevate your gameplay to a level where you outlane your opponent regardless of his hero choice.
naaa machmaking is 99% 5man carry team and your on who needs to support them all the time :(
agreeed=) almost of match making games, some guy fast picks a carry and says "support me".
and few minutes the other 4 also pick carries.
its hard to find high skilled solo mid players in pubs so it doesn't happen often usualy noobs just do 5 man trains into mid at minute 3 to shut u down

But the other players heroes chose are a natural counter to the hero that the other players selected, most of the time the play that has the naturally handicapped hero loses.
How many times have you experienced this scenario?
For me this is the most common scenario in the game.
