Of course it is. But you better get some survivability before you go daedalus. Manta style is a good option or maybe shadow blade.

To be honest, one hero should not dominate your total playtime by more than 5%.
And Deadalus is great after getting survivability (lifestealing, lothars)

Eg game of throwns, you have PA, viper, drow, morph, and jugg in your top 7...why are you even talking to me?
It's not worth getting second Daedalus over a Butterfly or something to that effect (MKB if they have evasion etc).
Kim, don't worry about people complaining about picking drow. Play whoever is fun for you, I personally don't see why people are upset.
As for your question: I don't its worth it ever. If you got the gold for a second daedalus, the game should be over (unless you picked up the first daedalus early, in which case you should go survivability next). Hope that answers your question.
