ok according to chinese mythology, MK can fly, create many of his own copies, lengthen his stick, has ture sight, can change to any form, one of those can be his skills maybe, just a wild guess

The true sight would be slightly OP. A walking sentry ward early game = no vision.

It will probably be interpreted as a skill that can't miss, save by banishing the target.

I think monkey king will have a skill 1 of finger of death and skill2 laguna with low mana cost and skill 3 of blade fury while stunning everyone with a ravage and his ulti is rearm =refresh with all spell and cast to his spell again then rearm with refresh... i think monkey will be new meta hero if he got this skill

He will have a ground slam with his long ass stick. He will be able to turn into a tree. And he will have illusions. His ultimate or one of his skills could be a passive and one of the forementioned skills be extra buff in order to make an ultimate. so far that is all we can infer.

im guessing these are the abilities the hidden boss had, but if the article was removed then chances are the abilities aren't going to be the same.

Monkey King was near release in 2010 for DotA, never released. Reworked and tooled for Source 2. Would be shocked if the abilities the "hidden boss" was supposed to have are not the ones it ends up having.

There could easily be some lore with Phantom Lancer tied into this. Hard to believe that PL stood alone at some point. I would imagine he was taught his ways from somewhere. MK Might have been that influence. Maybe we can look forward to other items that might be heroes. "Skadi/Linken/Tarrasque/Shiva/Aghanims/Euls/Atos etc" Would be very interesting to see them really branch off and create some original heroes, not a recycled 2010 damn near finished product that MK actually is.

@Androgynous If anything the "hidden boss" was suppose to be an event boss and they decided it would make a better hero like originally intended. #IceFrog keeping the dream for his hero alive.

The ability of the hidden boss weren't exactly the ability of the hero itself. Usually they were rather the ability of new items. coming the same patch as the hero.

However, as we already have an illusion item, and evasion / true strike item, it's kind of safe to say that the monkey will have those as a skill (especially the illusion one due to the trailer)

How will a passive "true stike" be spread across 4 levels though? Icefrog will consider passive true strike too op to give.....

True strike on monkey king will work like bash on slardar, void, troll. Gives a longer ministun than mkb and a bonus dmg. Leveling it will increase the chance for a bash and increase the bonus dmg. Ez.

I just watched baumi's analysis on the hero. He mentioned a detail we all missed. Movement through trees/from tree to tree. THAT WUD BE SO GOD DAMN FUN TO HAVE. And op.

I think 1 ability will be where he slams his stick on the floor with extra damage/nuke. Maybe 1 where he spawns an illusion and disappears for a few seconds., like treant. Hope his ult will be him riding nimbus.... a passive where he gets armor/stronger when his health is low almost like huskar.
