They need to practice so that they can play well as a team, which is something I think secret realized after manila, They need to practice so that they can figure out the meta, they need to practice to find out what heroes are good against certain lineups. A professional football player already knows how to play football and yet they still practice six days a week.
Dota is a game that is constantly changing. Dota looks completely different now than what it looked like at TI 1, It looks completely different from TI 5 even. Teams need to practice to stay on top of these changes, a team that doesn't practice is going home in the first round

Honestly, what is gonna separate a good player from a decent player. If you watch my games, someone is always stealing my farm or pushing my lane making it really hard to actually solidify an advantage. If I constantly have trash laning partners, what the fuck am I suppose to do to separate myself from these garbage fucking players? So many trash supports single pull my lane.
I am not saying that my teammates are all feeders, I am saying that they play in a way that doesn't let me get really high GPM or anything special.
Also, when I say I am the best or equal to the best, what I mean is that there is nothing separating me from a professional carry player. I know how to push when I have space. I know when my team is dogshit. I know everything thats going to happen. Sometimes, I get ganked and caught out.. But thats because my team lost all map control or isnt doing anything to make space. There is nothing you can fucking do in a 5v5 game where you only conrol 1 fucking hero to shine out. Unless the game is rigging in your favor. Like take this for example, I am a safelane carry player 99% of the time. And when I see an axe, I know I need my supports to zone him out on level one or the games fucking over and I wont get any farm. But my team NEVER fucking listens and lets axe farm 4 free creepwaves.
