do you have an opportunity to start ur re-calibration right now?
Yes, TripleSteal I do.
u played 3k games already, yet no ranked match. o.0
I have, but still, I'm nervous because if I clibrate I'm pretty sure now is not a good time since my unranked games are mostly normal skill right now.
so is it capped at 5k or not? nami said its pointless for mid 5k and above but if the cap is ~5000 then its pointless for anyone 4800+, man it's going to be so sad if the cap is higher.
its pointless if the cap is 5k i dont even know why they would cap it.
it's not a fresh account.
just lock this feature to people who are already ranked and then have no cap.
This is actually amazing, we probably won't see any of the weaboo compendium buying retards in normal rmm.
I might spam Sven/Slark and may be another hero whose name starts with an "S"
New system, same game ruiners...

Game one of new calibration, Storm rage quit after 7th death in about 11 mins.
So we can recalibrate our mmr ? Not a fan but will prob have to do it , mmr will probs be inflated on a lot of people
Does anybody knows how this calibration work. My first game was average 3000 MMR although my solo RMM MMR is 3700. After i won a stomp with 11/2/14 and 580 GPM, 618 XPM as offlaner my next game was again 3000 MMR average. I was expecting something like 3.3k MMR average. Why it did not risen?
because they wait for the 10 matches I think it's a different system from normal calibrating matches
Aren't you already 5k+ Guiri? Or are you doing those matches to lower your MMR and play ez games for a while? ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
What a Joke.. After 2 games with almost 70k hero dmg togther and 750 gpm average My 3rd game was 3.3k mmr whats more than 1k less as my normal Rating
Interesting. I'm nervous to test it since it would be utter bs if I got to a lower bracket, but lately in pubs I have been paired with people with 3.5k and up
Pretty sure the average is around normal skill though.
I'm not sure what will happen, all I know is I want someone in at least high skill bracket to recalibrate with me. A bump from 2.7 pmmr to 3.5 or so pmmr is very easy and doable and very awesome to me.
dont fret newbs it doesnt work. the most u wil do is calibrate 100-200 MMr higher. It pairs u with people at ur current level so 10 games it calibrates u at that level. So 10 bucks for 200 MMr. Valve gets ppl again
This new international ranked queue is interesting, buts it's also confusing.
I wonder what happen if a 6.3k player plays international ranked queued is 5k the cap? Or is it possible to get 6.5k+?
Something I am interested to find out
Haha yeah I've seen his streams too lol
Welp, time for me to get out of this low prio for being toxic and get some quests and challenges and All-Hero Challenges done so I can recalibrate *hyperventilates*
Isn't the international ranked match take your unranked mmr to calibrate?
For example if 2 years ago your unranked mmr is 3.5k and after calibration you got say, 3.7k ranked mmr. You rose all the way to 5k. But for this international ranked, it will still calibrate from your previous 3.5k unranked isn't it?
If you get to 4k or 5k mmr goodluck playing with or against pro players. Singsing and Dendi is on 4k i think
I highly doubt he's gonna get past 4k calibration. He consistently plays in Normal skill with only a few high / vhs games sprinkled about, which are more than likely higher mmr friends playing with him. Really the only good thing about this recalibration thing is that you'll get less idiots trying to do their quests in normal ranked and ruining games for people who want to actually play dota.
played 5 games in international ranked...4/1.. played support bcz all my mates pinged core so i dont wanna rage in start. I am really interestin to know wick mmr i get. First time i calibrated from 3.5k :)
I think im gonna que in Europe for my calibration, a South American spectre is gonna make getting 4k+ impossible.
it isnt a game changer at all
you have to play another 30 matches to be able to switch your mmr.
in 40 games, you will end up at the same mmr you were at before
600 mmr lower than my regular mmr after 5 games I have my doubts it'll go up 700 mmr to pass my own then need another 30 to keep meh I'll just do remaining 5 then stop .
Yeah, I've tested it out and the perks to international ranked is much greater than I had originally thought.
International Ranked pros:
ENGLISH SPEAKERS. I had to type it in all caps because the odds of English-speaking players are SO HIGH.
Disconnects are very rare
Peruvians and other 3rd world cannot really afford it so you will get some pretty intense matches
Cons:
You'll get around the same mmr
I got nearly 500 mmr more than my ranked mmr after calibration (7 w 3 l), although still below 3k, i was disappointed at first, now it looks like I should feel lucky.
Be realistic dude.. Even pro player in 4k-ish bracket right now.. U need to hire miracle, if you really want to get 5k mmr in just 10 fkn random tbd games.. Gd luck
To all the guys trying to recalibrate higher then your normal ranked mmr.
Just forget about it. Games are total trash, unbalanced, and also I have played 4 international ranked games so far and in games there were leavers. Basically im now playing the other remaining games to see my new mmr.. But I bet it will be lower then my current mmr. And that only, Because valve is unable to ban leavers and give the opportunity for people in a leaver team to delete the game session so that such things don't fuck up your mmr calibration.
There are plenty of kids around who will screw your calibration..and keep in mind that you also "lose" time playing calibration games where you could actually try to raise your current mmr in the normal way.
Went 3-7 and got placed at 3.4.
2 Losses were bad play by myself and my team
3 losses were 4v5s with a dc
2 Peruvian specter pickers
8/10 contained very few South Americans, so overall it was better than the norm
So is the starting point from your regular mmr? Because if so I'm so screwed anyone know?
No one knows the starting point... basically what most people think is that they use a portion of your regular mmr plus a portion of your hidden mmr. But this is just an idea...
i was calibrated at 1.9k cz i had no idea of ranked and was new to the game, then after that played only ranked got my mmr upto 2.9k and was shy 20 points to 3k but then as usual fell down to 2.4k . all games normal skill. and now calibrated with the compendium and got 2.2k so i guess its not worth the 10 calibration games or the 40 there after cz its not a mmr reset its just as broken as the original system. And no use playing if u havent played any high or very high skilled ranked or unranked games its not gonna calibrate. and the queue for international and normal ranked is mixed.
out of the 10 games 2 games were 2.3k avg mmr and 8 were 2.2k.
what i´m asking myself is whether you can already see your newly calibrated mmr after 10 games? or is that just possible after 40 games? cause then i can already see after 10 if its worth it or not..

So yeah.
...
I have 10 matches to calibrate my mmr....
Does anyone in high skill bracket want to party up?
Also, please give me advice. Most of my games are normal skill, but knowing I have to a chance to fix my fucked up mmr....
I should avoid calibrating for now until some high skill games are spammed... right? Right???
What should I do?
I'm like full of excitement right now, but I will die if I calibrate too low
I know I'm almost ready. I think I should wait out the international ranked a few days to let all the noobs die out so I don't get sent to hell somehow...
Idk.
Fuck.
Speechless at this opportunity...
