If you really want to win that bad, why pick OD/Phoenix? I can't blame people for losing the game when I pick a low impact/teamfight hero (without having any coordination with teammates)/a hero who can't play from behind/a hero that's fucking shit, etc. I mean obviously people will do bad things but if I already picked a shitty hero or played him in a shitty way, there's my part of blame to start off with.
Reaching 6k with od/phoenix is quite impressive. But if he wants to go higher he should try different heroes IMO

OD is a shit hero, ok. But now he picks way more phoenix which is an _OK_ hero in pubs and wyvern which is bullshit OP.
