I know about solutions, this shouldn't be needed tho. Especially not when it wasn't like this on their old design.

Oh man, I remember that one time I named myself '123' and could not find my profile... Seriously, fuck the dotabuff search engine.
You will find yourself easily once you change to a unique name e.g. 'KazLovesKock'

Hi, we've seen the thread and understand the issue. We'll look to make some tweaks to improve player search.
It would also be great if I could just paste someone's steam profile to see if they have a dotabuff profile

With the recent changes to Dotabuff's layout it seems to be very hard to search for players with common names, Like myself.
Since now it takes the 150 latest played games with anybody named 'kaz'. which means it will be impossible to find myself if I do not have the link or logged on myself.
Not sure if you guys are going to keep this or not, but if you are, then please make the filter for only matching names.
