The supports of most professional teams are the captain/drafter.

    Is it a coincidence?

      yes

no, the most skilled player is usually the support, cores just have to trust them, thats why you see the better teams are the ones with the better supports.

Main exceptions I can think of are C9 (EE, I think), and MVP pheonix (offlaner)

I think it's personality. A captain needs to be a unifying force, a voice of reason and control that keeps the team working together optimally. Someone with that personality probably leans towards support play over carry play.

To say supports are the most skilled I don't think is true. I think the environment just makes them seem that way, ie they pull of more impressive shit with less.

itss not about skill lol it's about coordination, it's easier for the supports to make the calls and control the flow of the game

I could see how a carry could be a captain, he could setup picks, lineups and playstyle based on the carry hero of choice, but that would be really rigid, picking a style before draft even begins

                Last picking is 4 pussies

Captain is the drafter and I thought C9's drafter wasn't EE right now. In fact who is drafting for C9 is it EE again?

                    I think Bone7 actually

s4 is drafting for secret for example so there are no rules...

^ s4 is the one drafting for secreT???? damn i thought it was puppey's brains

it seems natural - cores have to dedicate more brainpower and apm to farming whereas supports can spend more time thinking and figuring out what to do and rotating.

you'd also expect them to be better drafters because they spend more time understanding the strategy of the game as opposed to getting better at farming.

cores/supports just have different skill sets - like as in football it is less common to have a centre-forward as a captain as opposed to a midfielder.

                          L > BLACK MAGE PARTY

But in football, a good portion of time it is the experience of the player, and a team has 4-5 captains or atleast 1 captain and 4 vice captains.

But I guess it makes sense, supports can be like goalkeepers see the whole game ahead, while the carries have to focus on "goalscoring" (well, objective scoring or farm scoring wtvr)
