What MMR will I get? Ex-HON Player playing with Noob friends in General Discussion
Zenith

    Dear Dotabuff Members,

I am an EX-HON player with over 4000 games played. My highest in HON was 1910. Anyway, I was pretty sure that I should get 4,000 MMR but not anymore. Here is my dotabuff: http://www.dotabuff.com/players/55502027

As you can see, whenever I play solo, I get into very high skill. Whenever I play with friends, I get into normal mode. I estimate my friends to be around 1200 and one of my best friend at 2800 maximum. Everygame that I play with them, I have to carry hard since they will literally feed all the time.

Recently, I found out that matchmaking affect MMR even before calibration. Here I am, wondering if I should solo or just play with noob friends If I care for my MMR. For now, I am just playing co-op bot.

Do you think I could get 4k with this account?

Should I ditch my real life friend who are really bad for now till calibration?

I joined dota beginning of 2012 and was mid 1800. When mmr came out I calibrated at around 3.6k, currently at 5.0k.

Lol. Party dont effect your hidden calib solo mmr bro.. When you play solo again you will see that very high skill will show again.. It just adjust with your gameplay teamates n opponents

As said previously, solo and party mmr are separated.

                      Honestly thought you were YNIT.

                      #12

^ its funny cuz last I heard YNIT was quitting dota if he didn't get 4k and all OP wants is to calibrated at 4k.

@ OP it looks like you could get past 4k ur getting very high skill bracket games which puts you at 3.6K or higher (I am gessing that these are your solo games and the normal skill ones are with your friends). If you can keep playing as well as you are now you will either get 4k+ or close at least close to 4k. good luck.
