High base damage, good nuke damage, strong ult, decent wave clear, benefits greatly for gold and xp plus he can gank or solo kill mid. Fast dagger can give you an easy snowball considering your exceptional burst damage and ok mobility
However, his scaling is only mediocre and he becomes much less of a presence late game
