If you play carries at the cursed level you speak of (I am at the same point) your supports will either not be picked or try to play carry. Your mid will feed.
If you play mid only then not only will you become a douchebag but half the time your lanes will screw the game for you.
If you play support only you can bet you will get carries with 14 min midas' and mids who afk farm their lane for 25 mins.

About 50% of the time you will get a decent enough team to win with. The other 50% of the time your team will lose and you will console yourself by claiming it was everyones fault but yours (rarely the case). Accept this and then you wont care about raising your mmr.
You can get to 5k, even if you play supports only (it's not that high MMR really)
Support role isn't as easy as you think.
If you sux at it, then play carry role instead. Or play heroes which can transit to semi-carry.
my friend played only support and ended up rage quitting dota with no regrets ... keep that in mind
If you're losing more games as support then as carry, it means you are worse as support then as carry. The carries in the opposite team most likely are as bad as those in your team.
Your winrate on supports: 53~60%
Your winrate on carries: 36~45%
It should be clear that you'd continue playing supports.
solo mmr you are better off going carry till higher MMR. Carry is the only quick way to advance your own mmr

thats not true dont tell people that then we are gonna ahve a buncha try hards only picking carrys and ruining games
Thats the truth. If you want to advance your MMR pick a carry fast and hope someone else is dumb enough to be your support
always pick carry dude no matter how many carries there is in team 5 carry lineups always was succesfull supports r waste of time
2nd response is pretty much spot on lol. No one supports in 3k. The last picker will get pissed that everyone says "you have to support" and usually be toxic and AFK jungle or something
I noticed youre at sea, its hard, very hard to get 4k solo in your server.
Id suggest keep on picking counter heroes where ur good at.
@poST, I am a Magic Dragon and also I just went to OP's player profile and checked out his winrates on his most played heroes.
I m also in the hell division. I think I m better Carry/Ganker than support but you can be as good as you want, you can with 16 games out of 20, it's just a matter of time before loosing streak coming. Usually it start with 3 games in a row you just can't win, no matter what you do... Then you start to fuckup, because you're loosing faith (in your team then in yourself).
So you're getting bored and pick support ... but that doesn't solve problems ! Because sometime you baby sit the good carry, sometime you don't ... sometime your warding job is rewarded, sometime you cry ...
That's why Volvo created Omniknight ... If you don't get totally wiped in ~25 minuts, the end game should be your (as I said, their are games that can't be win). Also, even if one mate try hard to fuckup the game ganking alone, you can save the situation and make him win a 3v1 fight ... that's a fucking badass skill in hell division !
supporting at sub 4k is an absolute waste of your time and life just buy an account and play support
