i got 78 match play with necro i got 4.5k mmr i play a normal ap (not ranked) and drop 3 Diamond wtf broken system (ok yea we already know its broken because playing 10000000 match with the same hero will make you in the top 100 but still)

    BenaoLifedancer

      3 games diamond 9 to platinum :D
just dont buy db+ anymore like me. these cu-nts dont deserve it

      Dev

i agree, completely retarded system, but i bought db+ anyway cus the raw data from it is nice. Dotabuff just fails completely when it tries to make a leap from raw data to guess-data and presenting the rankings as facts.

Also the new features are completely useless to non-plus users. Yeah you can see if u are in top 100. But for most heroes top 100 are proffesional players. So we never get see where we stand. Completly not fair from whatever point you look at it.

I think that stacking or queuing with lower MMR people shouldn't effect your rating adversely but in the same way MMR works you get reduced points or non at all. The reasoning for this is pretty sound as if you're stacking hard core you get reduced points so you have to play 3x the games which would make you top anyways as you are technically "experienced".

I would also remove the pro's entirely as it gives them a completely unfair advantage being labelled as professional, and have a seperate list for any verified players. Either that or have a filter for each bracket to see the top players of say faceless void for Diamond, Platinum, Professional etc. not all of them dumped into one massive list.

            In short.

            > Stacking and queuing with low MMR players will give you reduced points and work like ranked MM does
            > Toplists can be filtered by brackets (Professional, Diamond, Platinum etc.)
            > Verified and "Professional" players have their advantage in the rankings removed or moved to a separate list

            Luxalpa, Tail of Devastation

"> Toplists can be filtered by brackets (Professional, Diamond, Platinum etc.)"

So if you're Platinum 10 you can see your ranking, but if you're Diamond 1 you can't?

I like the rest, correct this one.

btw, I think the formular for the points should be publicly available. Else, this ranking is pointless, because nobody actually knows exactly what the points mean. And it should not consider any matches that are older than 6 months at all.

^probably the worst suggestion ever, the moment you make something like that public, you bet your ass you will see every second retard try and exploit the system to reach the top, not that people aren't doing that already.

Currently these lists are useless, you have a combination of:
-people with "professional tag", not that they all don't deserve to be there, but a lot of them are getting incredibly inflated ratings for no good reason
                -abusers
-people that spam a hero, doesn't matter how good you are, play at least ~4K level games and play a hero a few hundred times and oh look, top 100

I don't think that there is a simple solution or that it is easy to create the perfect system, but I do believe that they are capable of doing better than what they have right now

No the filter would work like this.....

Platinum - Sees top 200 of anyone in platinum
Diamond - Sees top 200 of anyone in diamond be it diamond 6 or diamond 10, just the top 200 of the diamond bracket.
                  Professional - Sees " "

Verified players are removed from the ratings altogether and added to and "esports" ranking list in here http://www.dotabuff.com/esports/home cause verified skew the data to easy

something likes this.... also not brackets but division filters. e.g. more accurate so you can see the best players in each division

you want a meaningful list but dotabuff doesnt have the data for that

ya the list is awful but the problem is that you think there's an easy way to make it a good one

if you remove all the questionable shit you end up with kda and win rate and everybody seems to agree that a system based on that would be even worse
if you dont want your score lowered by stacking with lower rated players then dont fucking play that hero unless you dont care about your score because if the system is so fucking awful then why do you care about it in the first place

                      RAAAAAAAAAALPH

Do you see your ranking if you're platinum or diamond?
