i think viper/razor are the strongest mid heroes atm
Nearly impossible to lose your lane and both can snowball really hard

year razor seems pretty nice, fights well mid game and scales decently too.
i used to play lots of viper for free wins against tinker but now that the fad has stopped and mek into deathball strats got nerfed i kinda dislike playing him

Probably on winrate alone, Zeus and Necropiss get my vote. They don't really slot into a particular team strategy though.

Players who pick these heroes are normally extra try hards and even if they are somewhat balanced (except Meepo), they need some sort of counter to deal with them and people in pubs either don't bother or assume just counterpicking will win them the game even if they suck with the hero they picked for it.

^every time I pick brood there will be a shaker on the enemy team, even if I picked after the game started, someone will stay in the picking screen and be ready to repick just in case I pick brood

Spectre is so fucking good right now it's like the 6.81s razor. You can be a retard and still win with her. Doesn't matter how hard she gets shut down

all the good players who used to pick ta are now picking storm and ember

i'd say storm is slightly better due to his long range initiation and the fact u can deny urself with bloodstone to avoid giving away streak gold

This thread is about "pub" mids. Sorry, but I'm not fucking ferrari. Maybe he can pull off spec mid, but I bet he get infinitely more ganks mid than I could ever expect in the lowly 3k bracket

Instead of explaining you're comparing spectre to heroes with good spam/nuke/push and a hero with a terrible nuke, but decent gank potentional at 6.

I've tried Spectre mid some times, and been rather succesful, but I'd not say that's because Spectre mid, but because of the cooperation post laningstage.

I would say that someone like either dk or ta are very strong mids
-dk has an INSANE lv 1 stun and great hp Regen as well as great pushing ability
-ta is just op. and easy.

I already had random 6k guy playing it and he literally just hugged tower vs necro.
he ended up raping because every lane was raping and he could participate in kills, but fuck you don't want your mid hero to hug a tower.

and you're saying that another melee hero without big regen wont do the same? you need hp regen. that ring wich cost 875 gold. pick it,you will have no problem with necro aura. later upgrade it into a refresher

Razor is good, TA is one of the best just has some super hard counters.

I really think nuking heroes are amazing though now that their are two runes. You're almost guaranteed to get one cus side lanes rarely contest. Makes DP pretty awesome when you can spam swarm for last hits and to harass their carry. I haven't played qop or storm mid in a long time but I'd imagine they'd be similar.

Meepo mid is OP for sure. Just gotta get to that lvl 3 and you can pretty much take anyone on.
