L > BLACK MAGE PARTY

I've wanted to try bristle so I'm looking for some advice to help me do well as him

    Strongmind

Treads,vanguard/hood,pipe, Ac/Shivas, Heart,Radiance,Sange and yasha, basher, abysal blade all these items are good on bb good luck!

I ll recomend vanguard every game after treads and shivas/ac after its really good. After that Heart or some shit like Abysal and you gonna own.

      Strongmind

Skill build max your 2 spell first always

        Fpz

I am prefers Mekansm/Vanguard (or both) S&Y basher AC

          Bad Intentions

            Build BB as a tank.

            Zenoth

leave goo at 1 or 3 if you need the armour reduction/slow badly, usually you want back over goo early

                Your skillbuild should be like this: w e w q w r w e e e r
Tho you can somethimes max bristleback if the lane is really hard. (but you always need at least one point in q and w)

Bristle's job is almost always to offlane. If you win your offlane and end up farmed you can even carry.
Bristleback is strong at every point of the game, but he IS farm dependant.

You must spam your spells as fast as you can (when fighting) while playing bristle, because he's all about how fast you can stack everything.
If you're just walking/roaming, have at least one stackactive by using W.
Use w right after you revive (before the tp), use w right after tp for another free charge. (this is when you have ulty)

                Startin items can be:
Stout shield (very important), branches, regen, ring of protection...

Then depending on wheather you want to tank or deal damage you should get:
                Treads always
Ring of basilius and wand you also should get always and you will have no mana problem.
Tank: vaguard (or just vitality booster which you will turn into a heart later), heart, pipe of insight, shivas, halbert... (assault if nobody in your team makes it, if they do, you go shivas)

Damage dealer: medalion, armlet, sange and yasha, basher, assault cuirras, valdimir's... maybe even bkb...

Remember to balance your hp and armor:
For every 1000hp get 10 armor.
Your only damage source is physical, thats why medalion and cuirras are so nice.

Bristle back has low strength per level, and low base, thays why you need strenght power treads and vanguart or vitality booster, to fix the lack of hp.

Also save your mana for spamming quills in bursts. You want to make em hurt, no point in a random quill harass here and another after that falls off cus you were oom.

Also you're not *that* strong until like level 4 and at 6 you're a beast with ult. Bristle is actually pretty easy to kill at 1,2,3 with 1 or no points in bristleback so watch out for trilanes or duo lanes with stuns and be careful. You can get aggressive once you have a level on them which you will if solo offlane.

pay attention to their items, shitty players tend to skip magic stick vs BB and that means you can just zone them out with a couple quills early on.

                      W-E-W-E-W-R-Q-W-E-E-R
                      W-E-W-E-W-R-W-Q-E-E-R
                      W-E-W-Q-W-R-W-E-E-E-R

here are some example skill builds by 11
the first skips the slow until lv 7, when a teammate can assist in getting kills. pre 6 it's harder to get kills unless you're winning your lane, so it's better to just have the extra bristleback level if theres no possibility of you using goo to get kills
second build skips goo until level 8 so that you have quills maxed at the earliest possible level, you probably want this build if you are stacking ancients.
third build gets goo before level 6, which makes getting kills much easier if a teammate decides to rotate to your lane or if you tp to help another lane.

hold your skill points before you reach the lane though, sometimes you need to skill bristleback at 1 to avoid a kill attempt, and quills only do 20 damage at lv 1 anyways.

at levels 12/13/14 you get goo, but sometimes you can skip the 4th point in goo at lv 14 and get stats instead if you need it. the 3rd and 4th point both reduce armour by 2 per stack, but the difference is only 3% extra movement slow for each stack of goo. if you don't need it, having extra stats can be more beneficial.

as long as you build tank, play as a tank and dont die your job is done
